What the hell is a 'hinge'? I've been in the military since 1989 (enlisted Navy) and have never heard that term. I'm on my twilight tour; 2 years and 33 days left (I think). I'll invite ya'll to my retirement ceremony two years from now! I'm also a mustang; did 6+ years in the Navy (w/ a break in service when I went to JUCO then UF). Spent 2 years as a Coast Guard corpsman, then went to OCS in 2003. I'll be up for O5 the summer I retire, but we're ready to move back to Florida (I'll turn 50 two months after I retire). It's been a good ride. Like @Durfish I was a Navy Hospital Corpsman (San Diego A school, 1990) and Field Medical School C school (Camp Pendelton, 1990).
The wife and I took a walk through Arlington today. It was very busy, and I was happy to see that. A lot of families and kids. It's a humbling place to visit and makes you proud to be an American.

First of all, I'm sure if he could do it over again he would have steered clear of that psycho beyotch.
Secondly, you're admitting you're not sure what his intentions were. But we well know what hers were. Yet, you are putting all the onus on our coach. Screw that... She was the one who acted poorly. She snubbed him in a show of poor sportmanship. She pushed him in the back. She was the one who had to be restrained... While our coach cooly and calmly walked away. Yet... you say, HE should have handled it better.
I'm not exactly sure what you want from him? I'd be willing to bet this kind of thing rarely, if ever happens. In a second, I mean a split second, he's walking by and slapping hands... and then in a split second some bratty beoytch drops here hand and refuses to be congenial... "IF" he "meant" to do anything it was probably on impulse of not knowing what to do.... So he congenially "pats" her shoulder and says good game.... Then she pushes a COACH from behind and damn near starts a riot....
But yeah... he should have handled it better...
She should be benched and made to publicly apologize...Instead she'll probably be proclaimed a martyr...The pussification of America continutes.
1) Is the economy better? Why is it better? Has it collapsed as predicted under the rhetoric of trade war and is there a basis for this discussion?
2) Are our borders more secure?
3) Have there been fewer terror attacks on US soil?
4) Is the status of North Korea better, or at least more promising, since he took office?
5) Does he keep our enemies on their heels?
Wait just a gosh darn second! You mean to tell me . . . . You mean to tell me there are valid REASONS why these hires weren't made months ago? Assistants are waiting for contracts to expire or for benefits to vest, and only THEN are being hired by UF?!? It's just shocking, I say. Shocking!

I've watched film. He's tall, mobile, good arm strength, a very quick release and a knack for hitting the receiver in stride. He looks like a quarterback.
Here he is talking to reporters a few days ago. A very humble kid. Easy to root for. I'd be delighted if he worked out.
Now I do agree with srivet on your God post. Perhaps THAT is why this country/world is so f'd up. Does it really matter if someone is Christian, Muslim, Buddhist, or whatever? If the deity leads them to better themselves, treat others better, and help others in need, then they are cool with me. People speak of their God as an absolute, when it's really the main global issue that is far from it. You know what that thinking can/has lead to? War... which can occasionally lead to drafts, which leads to draft dodgers...

I'm not necessarily suggesting that Mullen pushed Rumph out. But I can say without a doubt that his "relentless effort" comment, which has been repeated again and again, is not directed at the players only. The days of being lax at your job and that being acceptable are over. Rumph embodied that as much as anyone on this staff, evident by his performance as a coach and a recruiter.
Last year, the Usce game was our final big visit weekend(check the link below to see the names). We left the stadium and went directly to Harry's for dinner. Rumph was literally seconds behind me. I held the door for he and his wife, who both appeared to be really good people ftr. But the first thought that immediately hit me was "shouldn't he be with some of the visitors recruiting?". Not saying an all-nighter, but It was like 7:30. Told me a lot about his work ethic and commitment. Zero issue with him leaving.

I'm gonna say mullens off to good start. He pretty much assembled his staff within days and its full of good recruiters. He didn't have string it out 3 months and hire a bunch of guys from random junior colleges.Got a commitment out of a linemen we didn't have to beat out fiu for.
I think he'll get the talent level up ,bring some stability here and he's super pumped to be here. There's my "positive" buzz.
I also want to apologize for making an ass outa myself. I don't want us to lose. It was just very disappointing at the time. I'm finally reaching the acceptance stage lol.
