Too much giddy about getting into the T25 led to a loss of enthusiasm on the court. When you start seeing success is not the reason to take your foot off the pedal; it's a time to press it through the firewall. Missing layups, guards driving into a battle of giants under the basket for a layup, being too casual with the rock; dribbling between two defenders, and passing behind the back result from reading your own headlines and becoming a head case.
I don't know how many assists we had last night, but there were definitely wasted opportunities because of selfish plays. The team we saw at ut and west "by God" va, did not show up. The team we saw last night was suppose to be at full strength, but we played better during the time without Lewis and Castleton in the line-up. Castleton did better scoring because they didn't triple team him; instead they boxed him out at critical times and negated his rebounding. Our "D" stayed at home.
I suppose MW deserves a lot of criticism because he is the one paid to take it, but each players need to step up their game. There is a lot of talent on this team, yet, if they continue to go through the motions with lackluster interest and "0" passion, they are only a mediocre team. That is coaching; sometimes a coach needs to bench a player regardless of the player's abilities; to get him to perform at 110% all the time.
