13 million dollars for a high school kids name image and likeness. What a time to be alive.

So glad we decided to start paying college kids to play football. The last molecule of academic integrity has officially left the building. What an utter joke! But hey, who amongst us could possibly see this coming?

Nice find. Thanks for posting. I'm with Doering... Fuch Rashada. This has gotten me fired up. :pumper:

I'm supporting the Gators 110% no matter what next season. :pumper: 0-10-1..... bring it. Still rooting Gators. :pumper:
I'm with ya. It fires me up too. FUCHS him. With what they are building on the OL, WR and our RB's get a kid ready at QB to manage the game with something between his ears.

Why can’t the Gator Collective & other Gator NIL entities speak out on the truth? And how is it illegal for Gator NIL entities to sign kids to NIL deals?

From what I heard on Locked on yesterday we are not paying shyt. With Lawyer's involved and that site really feels that Heitner is still at the center of it, they want to protect their azzes with confidentiality agreements. Their sources are stating that agreement with Collective at a dollar amount, contract done and someting different, then they did not confirm payment with Collective. I am sure when they saw the $$ figure they said Fuchs that. Also the attorney represented both sides, huge COI to do. IF and I say IF it was Heitner, his azz ought to be burned. One, the figure and two, turn in your Gator Shyt.

Heard a coach one time say, "if you pay them, you can't coach them."

I don't think it's worth worrying about something we can't change........ unless more of us want to pony up more money for the collective.

Serious question, how many posters here have donated any money to the collective?

I haven't and don't think I ever will.

I would be surprised if any of us cheap "Bastads" have........

We haven't paid the entry fee but we want to "bitck" about everything!
I have, wearing my shirt this morning even....

It seems to me that Rashada’s entire argument would be that he’s decided not to enroll because we’ve decided not to pay him, which is still technically against the rules. I do agree that we have a lot more freedom to speak than his camp does because we’re not the ones breaking contract(NLI).

Why would Rashada go to a program where he knows that he won’t play?
Deion has already declared his son to be the starter and he has two years of eligibility left.
Certain players are going to be attracted to him. I'm sure once he got his hooks in Cormani it didn't take long to get the other to listen. Probably had him embarrass us on purpose with this saga and got the 13 million rumor going himself.

I'll give Wright credit. I think he had an offer to transfer there and chose USF instead.

This is what I said I think almost 2 weeks ago now... deny it, hopefully the NCAA sticks with UF, and never release him... Union busting 101.
Kind of agree here. If you have some 3rd party making wild and unrealistic promises that they fail to deliver on and it makes the school and coach look silly, Im digging in if I'm Naps or the school and telling the kid those promises were between you and them, your letter of intent is between us.

Why don't we approach someone who has already gone pro? Why can't we? It's a semi-pro league now. Find a back-bencher with a year of eligibility left who wants a shot at college glory. Or like I said previously, we run the Georgia Southern offense this season until Lagway gets here.

The real question is why don't more kids want to QB for Florida right now? We're currently loaded at OL and WR and RB. And no high-profile kids want to be our QB. Don't make no sense.

Just a few more random thoughts on this whole debacle.

1. I understand how the NIL is structed so that the university's hands are clean, however, it is a public university and transparency should still be vital.

2. Since it's all speculation I chose to go by who is the dumber person in this situation? That a school would offer a high schooler NFL+ money or that a high schooler would ask for NFL+ money. I'm going to assume that if I was in Rashada's camp I would have put the kabash on the 13 million number for a multitude of reasons such as not wanting to look like a diva, not wanting to get robbed, not wanting to create hostility from my teammates, etc. The kid still has not thrown a football in college.

As for the university, it wouldn't be the first time they flushed millions down the toilet just ask Muschamp.

I am so glad this is finally over and feel bad that this Rashada character has put out such bad Karma because I would never get on a plane, elevator, or hammock with this kid!

One issue I see with NIL is what or who is to prevent some rival from starting a NIL company, promise millions to a kid to sign with UF, then pull the deal? The NIL is SUPPOSED to be between the player and Nike or Addidas or Joe's Ford, but the more I read people's posts, NIL is between the boosters and the player, ie, pay for play.

This whole thing isn't NIL. The millions the players are getting to do what? Show up at an open house for a new car dealership? If you are Tom Brady, that makes sense, but Brady's endorsements didn't require him to be QB of Tampa Bay or New England. He can rep Nike while in retirement or QBing St Louis.

We all know this is pay for play.

Right. So let's take it a step further with the Pay-per-Play College Football App! Direct donations to players during game time performances. All players get their scholarship and room and board, plus a monthly stipend. Excell on the field and the fan's money will rain down on you.

Coaches get $500K per victory. If it's going to morph in to a mercenary sport... well, so be it.

That's where you are mistaken, the University, coaches, and Football team have absolutely no say in what these kids get, what they are offered or who they are talking to. Yea yea, Im sure there is some nudging going on and folks being pushed in these kid's directions but the economics all come from the collectives and businesses. Keep in mind this also differs state by state but Florida (except Miami because they are private) are up ****s creek. Liken it to you trying to ask a girl out while your friends are offering her purses and cars to date you. Things go well in the beginning, but one day, they can't deliver her Gucci bag and she tells you to **** off after getting engaged.

Isn't it still true that we do not know which entity caused the issue that ultimately resulted in Rashada and UF to part ways? We would like to believe fault is on Rashada's side, but we have no real knowledge. Our NIL could have made offers that were not honored. I read we have to pay miami's NIL something? WTH! And even though we might have some leverage because of the LOI, using that could backfire on us. Maybe his side has been "corrupt" in their dealings with UF. But it really doesn't stand to reason that we offered a significant NIL agreement but his camp believes that instead of playing for a high profile school like UF, Colorado and some extra NIL promises are better for him, long term. I have a hard time believing most or all fault lies with Rashada, although I wish if that's the case, that it comes out eventually.
