Gators win 6 to 5.

Neely walked 2 in the 9th, but managed to hold the lead and get 3 outs.
One of those walks was total BS. It should have been a 3rd strike call to end it but the ump didn't have the nuts to make the correct called 3rd strike with 2 outs. Another reason I hate the (f)ags.

Well it was not a thing of beauty but it is a W. Random Sproat was just that, only it was not the walks and hit batters tonight. It was too many hanging curve balls. Probably fortunate to have only given up 4 runs and that ATM was not one of the hotter hitting teams in the league. Neely's 2 walks both to right handed hitters in befuddling, but I have said he is not a closer. He does not have the pinpoint control to be trying to hit edges of every pitch. Admittedly I have little confidence in him against top tier competition. Did not use any of the bullpen guys that much tonight, including Slater, so they could all contribute tomorrow if needed.
Neely did fine. He got no help from the ump behind the plate.

Abner had a nice stat line and kept aTm from adding more runs until Neely came in.

Perhaps, but I had no issues with the home plate ump. I thought his zone was bigger than most I have seen this year and on more than one occasion this year, last night included, the announcers have mentioned that the strike zone in college baseball this season has gotten smaller due to the way they are rating ump's performance. I prefer a little more generous zone in college as I want to see guys swinging the bats.

Since they use a pitch/batter the in box clock; y'know it's about time they overlay the strike zone so we can remove the subjectivity. At least it may improve consistency, JMHO

Umpires are a protected class with special privilege ~ they can lie, cheat, steal, arbitrarily decide who wins and loses, determine the outcome of games and be completely incompetent but seldom, if ever face any consequences. Sounds like democrats

Waldrep pulled in the 4th, HBP, single and walk, bases loaded 0 out.

Bullpen has its hands full tonight.

Waldrep just horrendous. 3 innings plus 3 batters. 6 WALKS 1 hit batter. Lucky to be down only 1-0 but he leaves with the bases loaded and no outs. How can a guy whose best pitch is his sinker have such awful control? I mean don't you have to have great control to highlight the sinker. Forget his record, he has not been very good the past month +.

Good to see that Old Folks Country Sausage is back. Proves that pitching against an awful CLOWNS team midweek is different than facing a middle of the road SEC team on the weekend. This is the kind of game you almost want to get run ruled and go home. NicFic coming in now. I would have left Sausage out there and then followed up with Tejada and Arroyo if they are on the trip.

Down 9-1, Ursitti now pitching. Sully more than willing to get run ruled and for one of the few times I agree with him on something.

Down 11, with ATM still hitting in the bottom of the 6th. Now Tejeda in to pitch. 3 outs away from getting run ruled. Thank you JC
