Seriously? He has solid playing experience in his career, he has the size to play in Mac's system at 6'5 230+ and will at the least add into the competition and make the others work harder. You're nitpicking for something to moan about at this point

He was at Purdue where I am sure he is getting top notch coaching..
He has actual potential that Mac can work with. I'll take all the competition we can get, though I'd rather not go with a 1 year plug myself.
