I'm still holding out hope we'll sign a couple elite DT's. And since it's still way early in the process...especially for the elite guys, I believe we still can. BUT...we've been saying since signing day that the coaches REALLY needed to grab a couple JUCO DT's in this class to make up for the last two classes. The coaches grab a much needed JUCO that happens to be a space eating, run stopping monster and rexy b!tches... How utterly predictable. It's June 2nd boys and girls. There is a lot of recruiting left to be done between now and February.

Anybody notice our last two commits are DT's ranging around 340 pounds or so??? I bet Law has a chubby looking at his government issued computer. But unlike many of our civil servants, it's not from watching porn at work.

I for one am pleased that this week alone we have picked up 2 HUGE DT's. This is a huge area of need and it's good to get a couple this early in the cycle. Hopefully we add another or 2 before this class is up. I love what the staff is doing, trying to get huge DT's to plug up the middle so we don't have to have our linebackers responsible for it, it's a great plan. Even though their star ratings aren't great they are space eaters and that's what you want at the DT spot.

At least quote me properly. My main gripe with the staff is they take too many 3 stars. We added two more. Awesome! FSU and Bama take 4 and 5's and UF is home of the three star!

If you are going to complain about me at least have the decency to complain about the right thing.

The don't make 5 star NTs because the scouts are more impressed with guys who can dunk a basketball than portly, stubby 2 gap filling plugs. Screw these 240-250 pounders getting their teeth kicked in on every running play by 310lb SEC OL.

Chics dig sacks. People who know football dig run busters.

Mac is right on the path. Wish we had done it with the last two classes but these are the first two DT/NTs we've signed.

We only have around 19 scholarships available for this class. We just got 2 DT commits. How many of that 19 should be DT's?

First, we aren't going to have 19 scholarships available. There will be many kids seeking opportunities elsewhere very soon.

Next, we havent recruited a DT in the last two years and we need about 3 a class, so I'd take 9 or so.

We won't though. We will try to take probably 4 or 5. I'll bet we are still looking for another JUCO or two.
