This should be fun.

So on Sunday, I had 3 little red bumps on my knee. Looked just like a gnat bite. No itching. No biggie.

Monday, all a little bigger and clear fluid filled. Of course I popped them, because that is what I do.

Tuesday, one was shockingly big.

Wednesday, I woke up and my inguinal lypmph node on that leg is incredibly swollen and hurts. The knee looks bad. No pain or itching though.

I've had it under a bandaid and triple antibiotic ointment the whole time.

I self prescribed doxycycline through my docs, but at a real doc now.

After a few days I'll see who was closest. Let the jokes fly....

Bursa - but I hope not. Since you waited so long to seek medical attention, you'd probably be in some serious pain right now, if not on your death bed. Hope it gets better.
I kind of like Diddy's spider bite idea though - those things can be unpredictable how they manifest themselves.

Are you allergic to triple ointment? I can't use it, I blister up.

Gotta be either polio or a gestating parasitic extraterrestrial. Nothing else makes sense.

Crazy as it sounds, there are soil related infections. Back in the 50's I would get boils and other infections usually on my legs when I played in newly dug dirt. So put up your little Tonkas until that dirt been exposed to sunlight a while. :)

I agree with the "spider bite" crowd, although it does look a bit "yeasty."

Definitely looks like something I've seen before. I just can't remember what it was...

For the record, I hadn't seen it at the time.
I'm going with ingrown hairs, possibly Sasquatch hairs
