This guy is among the biggest douchebags in all of college football...and how he landed ANOTHER head coaching gig in the SEC is ridiculous Again, blaming players and not himself for another loss:

Will Muschamp questioned his team’s desire to tackle after South Carolina’s 27-14 loss to Mississippi State. The Gamecocks trailed 24-0 at halftime.

“We had guys at the point of attack that didn’t want to tackle,” Muschamp said. “It’s hard to understand at times. It seems like we are a decent tackling team at times, other times we’re not. You got to get off blocks. You have to make tackles. You have to be able to stick your face in there and tackle.”

He added, “You have to like it, you have to actually like sticking your face in there and tackling somebody. We are where we are. We are going to improve. We are going to get better. We are going to do what we have to do. I can assure you. It’s hard to be a really good defensive player if you don’t like to tackle. You have to learn how to stick your face in the fan and like it. Call it like it is, we got some folks out there that do. We don’t really have a lot of options right now, but we will have some.”

Missed tackles doesn't explain why their offense was so terrible again.

True to form. The Cramp has demonstrated (one example Tyler Murphy), he has zero problem throwing his players under the bus, whether to cover in a game, or cover his douchey behavior toward them in other areas. His vindictiveness toward players who dare to ruffle his feathers is appalling for an adult. Oh wait....

One definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. The question, however, becomes who's more insane, Muschamp or USCe for hiring him?

It's on him. He'll get it fixed.

Thank God he is someone else's problem.

On the original post...it has become a given that Boom failed at Florida. I have compared Boom's tenure at Florida to Dabo's start at Clemson on numerous occasions. Boom went 28-21 despite coming into a new situation - new school, new players, brand new coaching staff. Dabo went 30-19 but kept most of the coaching staff intact and he knew the school and the players. Plus, he got to play an ACC schedule, which would account for the two game difference (and then some). Boom also had to deal with some player issues coming in and was undermined by a rash of injuries in his last year.

Given the circumstances, he is not close to being a "failed" head coach and we benefit from the OTJ training he has now. He also is in better position to put together a staff and has hit some home runs there.

But the media are lemmings that will promote the "he failed at Florida" talking point until hell freezes over. Thank goodness that Tanner is a lot smarter than the media.

I have said it before and will say it again, you can bet on the Gamecocks to cover every game this season and come out with a nice bankroll after the bowl game.

Kind of ironic, our DBs were terrible tacklers. Under Charlie Strong, we had some great tackling DBs.

I'm done with the Mustychump schadenfreude. He will fail miserably at SC and be gone by the end of next year, if not sooner (if you can't succeed at Florida with 10 lives, no way you'll succeed at SC).

If I don't see his name posted on here again until that news flashes, the board will be all the better for it.

Even if (and I say "if") Mush4brain's analysis is correct, for him to deride his team in public is the despicable part; He is a coach making millions to put his players in position to be successful. They are only kids and young men looking to him for guidance and leadership. And no way in hell do I feel sorry for SC fans.
