Sun came up today :pumper: Weather is beautiful. Nice and cool here 16 miles north of Spurrier Field. I am healthy for a :pe: and that is the cool thing about age is you gain perspective about life in general. I have lived long enough to "worship" cheer for on that field in order, Steve, John Emmitt, Danny and Timmy. So 10 years ago we all basked in the glow of one, who is arguablly , one of the greatest SEC players of all time. I put Danny in the top ten also and as SEC beings go SOS is top 5. My gator history is inundated with greatness and great times. Does it suck right now? Fcking A it does. Nothing is worse than a loss (in gator terms) to fellatio state univ. Specially in ways like this. Makes us all look bad feel bad and angry. Back to why Im happy, Im here cooking choc chop pancakes and sausage for my 9 year old daughter. She is happy. I will see dozens of happy faces tomorrow cause the "coach" is there. My happy dont come from a bunch of 20 year olds and a guy from Montana. I love following them but if I had to depend on things like this my life would be sad,. Is their a magic answer here? Im sure there are a few (very) few coaches out there that can come in and "right" this program. Maybe even start getting us back to Atlanta (cough cough) but my very short take is smoke and mirrors have gotten us where we got in that respect. No QB, injuries all over the fcknn place and little depth are real. He may not be the answer. This tome may not be YOUR answer. I choose to see the big picture. If you dont think their is a pendulum in life or football then you will eventually. Gooooooooo gators and FCK THE NOLES............oh yeah, Im thankfull Im not a nole or went to that school and that I have my degrees from UF.

You can do better than that coach:

We have the 2nd best record in the entire SEC conference
We just had a win @LSU
We are going to the SECCG with a chance to land a Sugar Bowl bid
We have beat our arch rival Georgia the last 2 years under Coach Mac helping us secure 2 Eastern Division titles
We are getting our younger players valuable playing time preparing them for next season
Much of this was accomplished while we were missing our starting QB

I'll add to it.

1. Gardner played very well in his first start. Sure there were some mistakes, but he is going to be good.
2. Marcell Harris maybe had his best game as a gator. I don't know if anyone has noticed, but he has played at a high level the second half of the year. I think we'll be good at safety next year.
3. Franks or Trask will be starting next year. Franks has loads of potential and I hope he wins the job. His athleticism makes him scary.
4. We have a talented group of young skill players.

I'm feel the same way in many aspects PE.

I just have serious concerns with the current state of the program. I think much of this has come with the years of the issues we've been dealing with that is culminating to its current state. I'm not sure who could come in and fix it without a long process.

Philosophically there is value in your approach after witnessing horror and mayhem, Coach. I think there is a portion of us fans that are viewing the debacle of our program systemically. By that, the staff in place is chemically incompatible with each other, and here we are with another chemist unable to evolve a winning formula for the Nobel prize. Yeah, a poor attempt at humor this morning. I have now moved over to the 'state of poor recruiting camp' because what we witnessed last night was a poor character team with more state acquired talent whip the good character team picking up the state talent crumbs. Since we don't see any really substantial improvement in that arena, being the 3rd cycle, it again points to staff (chemistry in the home, on the sofa). I'm not laying around today with an ice pack on my forehead, have plenty of stuff to do, and will laugh in between the occasional thoughts or reminders from the media venues of the inept leadership and creativity on our sideline. Nuss is a big problem in a long line of problems at OC, and I don't know if the personality of our passive head coach is strong enough to pull the trigger for the benefit of Gator Nation. When you can't dial up a 3rd down conversion and can't score a touch down as a SEC team, no amount of Christmas light trimming can erase that reality of poor coaching. The College leagues are full of teams improving during the season with arguably less talent on the field. The difference is those leaders apparently know how to compensate shortcomings better or inspire a better gladiator message. Just saying and be careful on the ladder or roof today Coach!

The first of the five stages, denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance.

I've moved already to acceptance. It's something the coaches are good at.

I dislike the continued bad offense. I also dislike the continued complaining about it. But, this is a message board so it's the place for it. I see the positives and I am hopeful next year will fulfill much of the advertised "better offense". Recruits + coaching = "better offense" Just do it and stop talking about it or get someone who can.
