Baylor hires Temple's Matt Rhule (great hire).

Purdue hires Western Kentucky's Jeff Brohm (great hire for them, he probably could have landed a better job).

Houston speculation is Kiffin, but Houston wants large buyout which the agent is refusing.

With Kiffin, it should be how much Houston is willing to pay to get rid of him in a few years.

Also rumor that if Taggart ends up in Oregon, USF will target Kiffin.

Yeah, I wondered too if they had that backwards and it was Kiffin wanted a big buyout and Houston was balking.

Kiffin at USF scares me. This staff already has enough trouble recruiting without Kiffin in the mix.

Story I read is Kiffin either takes Houston with a lower buyout, takes a west coast head coach gig, or goes to LSU as OC....regardless, he will very likely not be back at Bama next year.

I think he's sick of the public humiliation on the sideline by Saban. Nobody appreciates being berated on national TV. No matter how good the pay is.

Houston is a better stepping stone gig than USF.

Hear me out now. If Kiffin doesn't take the Houston job we offer him $2M to be our OC, and if it works out we get a HC in waiting.

Judging from the post Atlanta comments by Mac, I do not expect any staff changes this off-season.

Oregon = no Mac, just Clarabelle ... she was on that plane.

peeps in Tuscaloosa reporting no way Kiffin is back at big al next season, that's why there was no contract extension last year.
both parties have soured on each other, can't say that I blame either one.

Don't see where Houston has the clout to demand a high buyout for the next coach. doesn't appear that great of a job to me (good, but not great - they're not P5).

Most intriguing guy out there. With the right DC, he could be the next ONE.

No. If Kiffen goes to USF he gets talent that UF needs. He could do well there with 3 stars from Florida against their opponents. Look at us with our 3 stars ;)
