Judging from the post Atlanta comments by Mac, I do not expect any staff changes this off-season.
I wouldn't expect Mac to telegraph the move. At the same time as the days go buy I get concerned that a move will not be made. Marianne promised this week but it seems to me that the timing would depend on a whole lot of other factors.

@joshnewberg247: .Spoke to someone that talked to Charlie Strong recently and was told Strong wanted to sit out a year. We'll see if USF can change his mind.

Any chance South FL would consider taking Collins off our hands since their coach is moving on? Just like with Mac and Oregon I doubt we get that lucky.

I would really prefer if it was Schiano out of this list... he is probably the one who will hurt us the least with recruiting. Charlie can recruit and knows Florida, Kiffin will hurt us and obviously Dawsey has relationships with guys and highschools already. - I wish I had more confidence in this staff's ability to recruit. The fact that I am worried about any coach at USF is crazy, but until this staff shows they can recruit at a high level.. I will be worried.

Two comments:

1. I doubt there will be any staff changes because Mac could not get anyone good anyway. Everyone can see a dead man walking
2. The Big Ten is upping the standard on coaches while the SEC is going backwards due to Saban's dominance. We may be the second best conference soon

I don't necessarily agree with No. 1. If Stricklin puts up the $$ there are good coaches to be had. Nowhere to go but up on offense. With a mediocre offense a new OC looks like a hero/genius and is primed for a nice HC job in 2 years.

I think No. 2 is accurate. Saban's stranglehold on the SEC has sucked the life out of it. Right now only 1 of 2 SEC bluebloods/premier programs are nationally relevant (Bama is, UF isn't, in part because Saban chased off Meyer) and that affects the entire conference (but not necessarily the amount of nfl talent on SEC rosters due to the quantity located throughout the south). Big 10's two premier programs paid up for top tier coaches and they are pulling up the rest of the league, including one its blue bloods in PED St.

A resurgent Gators under Mac or otherwise can revitalize the East pretty quickly though.

So now we're concerned about recruiting against USF...that's a whole new low
