I freaking love this message board. I called out the staff on another message board that I visited for a long time and was banned. It's stupid to even have a message board if you can't actually speak your mind. I don't think McElwain is a bad person or anything. He's just abysmal at his job and he should be at a smaller program that he can handle better. Anyways I'm glad I found GatorChatter. I should've just not have been lazy all these years and used Google to find a decent message board. Anyways back on topic... Alboverdi and Cordoza are the worst. I couldn't stand Cordoza from years ago when he had a show on another radio network. The guy has no clue what he's talking about when it comes to football. And Alboverdi gets worse everyday. I guess we shouldn't expect two guys that work at the university radio station to give an objective review of what's ACTUALLY happening. It's all day though. Russell is the worst by far. He stuck up for Zook. He backed Muschamp until it was curtains and now it's Mac. And is it me or is Mac the worst out of Zook, Chump and Mac?

Here's a clue, if he wins, or at least stops getting blown out and starts recruiting enough to actually build a program, we will love him. If he keeps these stupid coaches and demands to keep circling the drain doing more of the same, yes, fans will keep calling for his head. More and more fans.

I hear what you are saying and I'm not going to slam you, but you also need to understand that this is a message board... it literally is designed for people to come be unproductive. Nothing said on here matters one bit either way. It's not like if we just be positive and really root for Mac that things are going to be more "productive."

The reality is that while some want to point out some good stuff, there is literally about 10 times more bad stuff with this staff and program right now than otherwise. Someone can focus on whatever they want, but that aint changing anything about the program. I'm not a positive or negative person, I'm a realist. I try to see things for exactly the way they are, not the way I want to see them and not the way I wish they were. Anyone looking at this program from an outside perspective is shaking their head and glad that it's not their mess to have to deal with. That is the reality, some of us here are just stating it out loud.

People are only really commenting on what's happening. I really don't think there's much positive going on in the football program right now. If there was one positive thing (playing competitively against elite programs, recruiting with the elite, or anything at all) it would be reflected in the comments on the Gator message boards. I definitely think that "dumpster fire" is an overused phrase. But this program is basically just that right now. You can try to look at it from different angles but it's just a mess all around. I really didn't think it could be worse than Muschamp. But other than that 4-8 year for Chump, it's as bad and in some respects it's worse. Recruiting hasn't been this average in the last 25 years for example. There's absolutely no excuse for this staff to not be getting elite high school football players to come here. The thing that looks like is becoming clear to everyone now is that McElwain is an embarrassment to this football program on the recruiting trail. I will say that I think this staff is better at developing talent on the Offensive side of the ball than Muschamp's staff. But we're splitting hairs when you start looking at that kind of stuff. We could've probably had a championship run next year or the following year if this crap staff could've landed Grimes, Leatherwood and 10-15 more elite kids from our own state. But having a below average (for Florida) recruiting class will continue to put us behind the elite programs that surround us. How far are we behind Bama and Fsu? Probably three or four classes behind them. Now we're starting to lose ground on Uga, scUM and others. This has to be McElwain's last year. We cannot give him a fourth year if he doesn't absolutely knock it out of the park this year. Because it's just going to keep setting us back. I don't know about anyone else but Florida football is one of my favorite thing to follow and have FUN. Mac needs to stop saying "isn't this fun"? Because it's not fun when you have a terrible play caller and the team looks like it's coached by a high school staff. Go Gators!
