Gotcha. That's a fair assessment
We see KT in a more positive light than simply his player ability. He was a good kid, played hard, didn't make mistakes and never complained. Even when he got berated on live tv he was a grown man about it and gave respect to the coach. Hes a good kid and was a great gator for those reasons.

Unfortunately as far as his pure football ability, I have to agree with Ox-daddy. He was very overrated, possibly because of his name. It's not his fault, but its true nonetheless. As much as I'd like to see him in the league, I don't think he has the talent to be there. Either way he will always be a Gator and that's something to be proud of.

To summarize: Kelvin sucks

Kelvin signed w/ the Browns...

Report: Browns sign former UF RB Kelvin Taylor
A former Florida star will get another chance to catch onto an NFL roster next season.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Former Florida running back Kelvin Taylor is on the move again in the pro ranks.

After failing to survive the final round of cuts for the Atlanta Falcons back in September, Taylor will get another shot at an NFL roster this offseason with the Cleveland Browns.

Field Yates of ESPN reports that the Browns have signed Taylor to a reserve/future deal, bringing him aboard for offseason workouts and camp.

Taylor has yet to catch on in the NFL after a productive career at Florida. He was originally taken by San Francisco as a sixth-round draft choice in the 2016 NFL Draft but did not survive cuts.

He was later added to the 49ers' practice squad before he was cut and spent a brief period in Seattle before joining Atlanta.

At Florida, Taylor rushed for 2,108 yards while averaging 4.3 yards per attempt on 486 carries. He added 179 yards off 24 catches and scored 23 all-purpose touchdowns.

Taylor stated recently that he will not quit until he's cut by all 32 teams.

As long as he isn't shaking some citizen down, loitering or unethically handling himself... pursue your dream Gator brother. Age and gotta eat will eventually make the play.

1000 yard rusher.

How many of those have we had in the last 20 years?

Best guess 4-5 including Kelvin.
Others that come to mind are Fred Talyor (duh), Fason, and Gillislee. Probably someone else I am missing.
NOT ENOUGH!

Great young man. Raised well and very respectful. Gave the Gators what he had to give. Does not have his fathers talent but any Gator fan who isn't rooting for him...even if it is against the odds...should be ashamed.

He certainly wasn’t responsible for the disappointments and lowlights of the last 8 years. I hope he catches on somewhere and is able to stick for as long as possible.

He should have stayed for his senior season. Wish him all the best though.

Wish him the best, but he doesn't have his dad's speed and that is what the nfl is all about.

He isn't elite, no doubt, but he was a solid kid that contributed despite a coaching staff that made it almost impossible.

I don't get why we bag on a 1000 yard rusher and yet most of the same people celebrate a 1000 yard QB.
