Wow. Hasnt he been fired at his last four jobs?

Law, thought you'd find this interesting regarding Mike Sanford Sr.:

Two FCS head coaches have now stepped down to be FBS assistants.

Indiana State’s Mike Sanford Sr. will join his son’s staff at Western Kentucky, and on Tuesday, Elon’s Rich Skrosky resigned to join the FIU staff as offensive coordinator.

Last year, Joe Moorhead stepped down at Fordham to join the Penn State staff. With increasing assistant salaries and security at the FBS level, it’s more of an option for coaches at that level. There are now 6 open FCS head coaching jobs.

@SIPeteThamel: News: Lane Kiffin tells @SInow he's hiring former Baylor OC Kendal Briles as the offensive coordinator at FAU.

It's impressive because he ran a top 5 offense. Hell, it would be impressive for us. We hire guys who just got fired for producing the 110th ranked offense.

Why is that impressive? Who says son will coach O like dad? It's pure speculation.

What I do know is that Boca Raton's finest better hire a few more rape kit processors for the force with that crew in town.

Wasn't he the actual OC?

Wasn't he the actual OC?

For only one season - the 2015-2016 season, for the team his daddy coached. He never worked for anyone other than daddy briles.

Are you suggesting that because he was the OC for one season that the credit for the offensive firepower at Baylor goes to Kendal briles and not his father?

Were that really the case, he wouldn't be taking a step down to OC for FAU, willful ignorance of a rape problem notwithstanding.

And yet... I'd take him over Nusschamp in a millisecond. Briles OCs have been pretty successful elsewhere.

He ran his daddy's already well established top 5 offense for one year, which is to say his dad continued running his top 5 offense.

Look, he may turn out to be a brilliant, innovative offensive mind, but let's not pretend that he was responsible for the offensive success at Baylor.

That said, I would swap him for Nuss, but that's not exactly saying much for Briles.

Correct on the swap, in that he did not befoul that offense down to 100th place among competitors.

The reason he doesn't have more offers is because he's under investigation for recruiting violations. Not because he's in love with lane kiffin.

Talk about character issues from the start! Not saying it won't be good for FAU football, but talk about an institution selling out in favor of "W"s. Can't wait to see who else they add.

As coaching advisors, they've added a family of gypsies who do driveways and roofs during the week.
