Wake me when any of this comes true. Until then, there is NO reason to be optimistic. 2-years of coming second in everything has me jaded to any pumping reports.
There is some serious smoke going on with the coaching search. There are also coaches that aren't being talked about publicly. I think we have two guys wrapped up already, barring unforeseen circumstances.

Smoke? I'd say a fog of mist chances.

I just saw two different reports on twitter...1 said Locksley is headed to the Gators and the other was saying Oregon is expected to sign Cristobal for offense coordinator

Well I'm not going to sleep until I see the signed contracts. I'm too jacked up on the Clemson win (Bama loss really)!

Both were crap.
The Locksley one was a fake account.

I'm not saying stars don't matter, but a special player or two can help even the playing field

Bama has no business losing with recruiting classes like that. Major fail by Saban IMO. Yeah he's one of the greatest, but clearly not beyond reproach.

I agree. His recruiting is one of the things that makes him the best, but when you get the #1 class every year... you are expected to win the title every year

Yet another reason why you dont read scouts/247. According to them.a huge class of 3 stars is a great class. And yet Tinerc.

Go back and look at Rivals or do your own review of bluechippers. Clemms Son has been landing a top amount of bluechip playmakers, mostly from Florida, and throwing in their own smaller stash of homegrown 3 stars.

They also happen to be designed to attack Bammer's weak pass defense. SOS did that too with USCe talent and got the win once. If you can withstand their pass rush, you can pass on Bammer.

You cant just try to run straight at Bammers strength in the middle and have any success, especially with our roster. But no one else has been able to do it.

Looks like he's still getting those classes though, so we better have that special player in our class.

Saw this to and man did it set off a fight on twitter between Gator fans. I will say this it does help when you have an elite 5* QB if you are bringing in lower ranked classes.

It also helps having that elite qb going up against a true freshman who cant pass the ball to save his life. Whether we realize it or not, this was actually the rebuilding year for bama after last years title. That's what saban has built, a program where rebuilding years end as the runner up to the natty.

Had Kiffin been there, Bama wins in a landslide. I think it was pretty obvious that Kiffin had a connection with Hurts that Sark did not. Ultimately Saban cut off his nose by cutting Kiffin loose.

it will be interesting to see if Hurts develops into a watson-esque talent or not. it will go along way in determining their future success
