The NCAA is not especially kind nor friendly to student-athletes with its rules and interpretations. This kid needs to transfer immediately ... and obviously we'd be very happy if that was to Florida ... and then apply for a family-related hardship waiver.This articles talks about family issues.

He also had a hurt shoulder. I don't think he played in 2016. He may be able to request a waiver based on family. He may also argue that he already sat out 2016
If he stays at Clemson while applying for a waiver, it just reduces the strength of the argument that the family's medical condition is a compelling part of the decision.
