I think blades going to get one CB spot. And Wilson the other. Gardner is going to play nickel. And Dawson will spell them.

I thought Duke would be much better than he's been. But in all honestly he's probably more of a safety. I think Gardener is basically a safety that can play corner in a pinch.
Marcell Harris?

Have we hired some POS coach from FAU or FIU yet?

It's inevitable at this point. Why wait?

Didn't he play some nickel this year? I feel like he has the ability to.
I dont remember it, but we played a lot of cover 3 so it may have looked like it from the tv screen. I find it hard to see coverages off the usially tv view.

Id think it would depend on the slot. If its a smurfy slot who is fast, I dont like the idea but if its a hybrid TE split out, I would like. Id also be ok with it if it were a spread team who runs out of spread formations or a Mumme type team that throws only short stuff.

BTW Harris had a helluva year. Vastly improved and I never imagined it.

No. If you look at it without O&B glasses you'll see we are losing 8 or so starters off of a D that struggled against the "good" teams. And we are placing those starters w/ young guys and we have no depth at DT. That's looking at it objectively and not "shooting from the hip". If this was the 90's you could say "we'll win at least 9 games next year" because we trusted the coach. You can't do that with this guy because for every 2 or 3 wins there's a blowout loss. You can also look at the QB situation and make an objective comment vs. "shooting from the hip" and saying "oh, we'll win 9 or 10 games next year".
Dude, you're shooting from the hip like the rest of us.
Did you pick Iowa to curb stomp us in the Outback bowl like a bunch of others? How'd that turn out?

I can look at the ingredients and know what my wife is cooking for dinner.

Its really that simple. Its also why although I was initially fooled by Chimp's promise of an attacking multiple offense that I identified how terrible he was in 2012 when so many of you thought he was a great coach.

I dont care how good you are, as a true freshman playing corner in the SEC, its gonna be ugly. If we have true freshman at those positions we are going to get murdered through the air.
I remember that Jenkins kid we had playing corner and thinkiing "he is the best football player on the field a few times...............Janoris. Probably that evil weed he smoked that helped him.............

You picked Iowa to curb stomp us too, right? How'd that recipe turn out?
Here's a couple of your quotes leading up to the game:

Like Ar Kansas, this is a bad matchup for us even when we were healthy because we are soft and undersized up the middle.
Another blowout is likely.

You guys are geniuses - I should listen to you more!

You were gargling Mushchimp balls until the very end. How'd that turn out?

Did you swallow or go with the pearl necklace?
Prove it.
I'm not sticking up for any coach or anything here, I'm just saying you guys don't know anymore than anyone else - and you call us optimists delusional.

Are there facts that show UF isn't competitive in paying Asst Coaches? USAToday did a report on 2016 Assistant Coach compensation, and I put the top 10 in a spreadsheet. Looking only at guaranteed Salaries, UF is #10, BUT we're essentially tied at #6 with Tennessee ($15K more), Texas ($15K), Ohio State ($52K), and FSU ($55K). UGA is #5 and pays $144K more.

When you look at Salaries plus Maximum Bonuses (which I'd argue is what really matters), UF is #7 and ahead of A&M ($374K less), FSU ($660K), and Tennessee ($1,400,000). Gonna try to post images here.

FYI, LSU's includes 11 coaches based on the firings, but I included a whopping $1,336,00 for Cam Cameron. Take that out and LSU looks less favorable.
Very interesting and informative. You must have forgotten what forum you were on.

Instead of what might have been I'm curious what the actual results were. For example bama would in reality pay more because obviously they met more of their bonuses. Where would F$U be? They didn't make conference championship but win bowl. Etc.

I didn't make a bowl prediction because of how badly both offenses were ranked.

I don't recall making a prediction, but I wasn't optimistic to say the least. My brief excitement over a nice bowl win has been dashed by our recruiting and inability to hire a coach...any coach.
