Show us a time when you predicted something positive, especially against the grain. Then you'll get some credit for your prognosticating. I haven't spent much time on this site, but my first impression is swampdonkey is a non-value added distraction in every thread s/he posts in. I'm surprised Ox allows it.

Florida football is a complete disaster right now, with almost no positive news on a single front. I wish I could say all the pissed off people are wrong, but I don't think they are. Our ONLY hope is if one of the freshman pan out immediately and light it up. If that doesn't happen, we are very seriously looking at a 4 to 6 win season next year, at least in my opinion.
Unless Kirby is a really awful coach (admittedly a real possibility), UGA will win the east next year.

If it makes you feel any better, you are my favorite UAA intern or parrot. Its nonvalue added of course but its not youre fault that Hee Haw is a failure. If you dont like the noise in the system right now, you better get earmuffs for next year.
Sleaking of nonvalue added what would you say Butters strength is? I got nuthin. Zook recruited well, Chimp recruited and built a great defense, Butters? What value is he adding for his 4 mil a. year?

You've got this one wrong Law. I've known jdh for years (your "intern or parrot" guess is about as off as you could be), and when it comes to Gator football I've seen over the years that he is right way more often than he's wrong. He can be (and has been) as miserable as you, and I challenge you to find anyone who hates the leghumpers more than him. He is really good at taking emotion out of the equation, and looks at the facts. Sometimes history shows he draws wrong conclusions, but like I've said...he's right way more often than he's wrong. You be you, but I think this board gets better with him around.
jdh, you're mostly right about Swamp Donkey/Law...except that while he's horribly negative about nearly everything, he has moments of sunshine that make you think that maybe...just maybe...there IS a heart in there somewhere.
And then he will kick a puppy.
He's also right more often than he's wrong...just in a really caustic way. But I've come to recognize that while he's a tremendous turd, he is OUR tremendous turd and is as passionate about Gator football as anyone, and we share in the passion to see Gator football great again.

Some of our fanbase (mostly the sub 30 group) has already been infected with mediocrity as is this young fellow on twitter. They know nothing of the SOS years except what they heard, maybe went to a few games with Dad as a kid, fell asleep on his knee late 3rd quarter of the 97 FSU game ( don't know how they slept but kids can sleep through anything). There actual awareness of UF football probably kicked in with the Tebow years which were good years no doubt, but in reality, nothing to compare to the years when SOS was kicking SEC ass all over the confederate states of America.
My age group (45+) remembers a different time, the sort of time the Bama fans are experiencing now. We didn't load up the NC trophies but we flat DOMINATED this conference. We know what great coaching and great offense looks like and we aren't getting it right now IMO. Now if Mac pulls a rabbit out of a hat the next few years........GREAT! But here's a reality check for you pumpers. FSU is wearing our ass out in the state recruiting as is Bama, OSU and in some cases UGA. Why? We aren't even competing.......it's not even close. I don't think our offense is going to be much better next year and our D will likely not be as good as this year. We are lucky that we didn't lose to UT 2 years in a row and fortunate they had a brutal road schedule this year. If they come to G-ville and beat us and we lose to UGA next year are you pumpers still going to be optimistic. GatorBart says the bigger issue is the future of the program, not next years record. The future of the program begins next year and it's the same as the last 2 years. Whats the definition of insanity again??

UF Football is ALL NEGATIVITY right now???? How many LOSING seasons do we currently have in a row???? I'm sure there are some programs out there that would have LOVED to have win 9-10 games the last couple of seasons.

I respectfully retract my speculation.
Bart, my negativity is about a 6 or 7 on a 1-10 scale. I've stated repeatedly that I feel if our next QB turns out to be above average/a star we could survive this situation. If that bombs...well, things don't look good. I'm not 100% (or at a 10), but I don't think McElwain is the right guy either.
