The only reason that we may is because the east is so bad. That is a one game scenario and we may have a chance. If we were in the west, we probably lose six games this year.

Yeah because the West is so good outside of Alabama.

Willis, Grier and Lane are all gone......

As others noted:
Willis stole and got in a fight - the coach didn't make him do those things
Grier did PEDs - the coach didn't make him do those things

Now, I'd accept Lane as being 'run off', but in doing so you should also include the likes of:
Driskel 4*
Treon 4*
Cronkrite 4*

and how that hurt the team so badly.

Why not throw in the following, since they could have played another year but I guess the coach 'ran them off'
Tabor 5*
Wilson 4*
Brantley 4*
Sharpe 4*
Anzalone 5*
K. Taylor 4*
D. Robinson 4*
D. Fowler 5*
M. Jones 4*
DJ Humphries 5*

Hell, with that record, no wonder Mac can't bring (or keep) talent.

Sometimes a coach can be like a fatherly figure to these guys....A good coach finds a way to help them out with their problems.

Well in all fairness, don't know if losing Willis and lane are huge losses. Don't think they've done much since leaving. But Grier , yeah I'd still like to have him. I don't know if a coach should have begged him to stay though, he made the selfish mistake, I really think if he wanted to stay and be a Gator and work his way back into the teams good graces he could've. I don't know that he was totally black balled from the program, think the door was left cracked open for him to return, but he just didn't want to have to go through all he was probably going to have to, to get back through that door.

In fairness, you're disliking all of his posts as well.

You mean like what Jabar Gaffney did under Spurrier

I played the game for 4-5 posts only after getting a dislike but I have quit. Dislikes shouldnt be your answer when you have no answer.
I'm not the one who keeps bringing this topic up.....You and Dougie always bring it up out of the blue and then insist that your position is right....You know as much as I do OR possibly less so quit slamming me and insinuating that I have homosexual longings for WG:eek3:, or that I'm his father:facepalm:....I don't don't and I'm not. My position is clear on the topic and I believe our coach didn't use his best judgment in that situation or in fact his ability to groom/recruit QB's or hire fully qualified assistant coaches....

How did I bring it up, if I was replying to your post... Dude except some responsibility... you have been saying the same conspiracy theory, for a while. It's not out of the blue. If you are saying the staff is disorganized and made some mistakes on a possibility of keeping Grier without just bending over for his father... I've already agreed and stated they made mistakes.

Because anytime the topic comes up the both of you are Johnny on the spot to tell everyone that WG was a f vck up and wasn't very good as a QB....

Are they on the roster? Did McButters comment on all three of them?

Grier was a 4-star recruit who got himself suspended for a year & foolishly left the program.

Lane had a very brief moment but couldn't crack the depth chart at UF. Nor did he accomplish much at EKU, where he transferred.

Willis has been sufficiently explained in other posts. 19 tackles last fall for the Canes. Whoopdedoo.

Dude, not only do you change your argument, you change other peoples arguments. Thank you. Please tell me where I said he didn't have the athletic ability, and just didn't currently have the mental on par yet. Never said he didn't have potential, in fact MULTIPLE times responding to your hard headedness I said that he had the Potential to be a very good to great SEC quarterback. But I do make fun of the claim that he had already shown to be a great quarterback, and we should bend over backwards for him, which you have said the staff should have done. Re-read you own arguments before you continue forward, you are starting to sound like you did when talking about redshirt years.

At least it is with this coaching staff. Under Meyer, blue chippers used to visit, party their asses off, and then sign a LOI.
You missed my point, professor. That's official visits in a nutshell all over the country. Each recruit can take up to five, which means four hearts are getting broken, and he gets five free weekends of partying with only one of them being the school he will attend.
