All boards are up. I came back after this photo and lopped off the top of any post with a chainsaw.

Only thing left is the schedule with the painter.

Can we finally send this thread to solitary? Or at least lock it?
No.

The fence hasn't even been painted yet.
Also, this is his pool/fence thread. There are still more projects around the pool that Brad plans to do, because he's rich, and that's what rich people do.

Forgot to mention, I bought some incredible work gloves for this project. These things are amazing. They are $13 and every man on this forum needs to buy a pair.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000...F8&qid=1485051755&sr=1&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65

Anyway, I was installing permanent diagonal backstays and I bought 4 inch lag bolt screws to install them. They came in one of those classic plastic boxs that are essentially impossible to open cleanly. It was seriously kicking my ass. I used the wire cutters to hack it but I still couldn't get into the dam thing. Getting pissed and frustrated, I take off the gloves to get a better grip on an open corner, yank.... and a sharp edge of the plastic slices my finger like a razor blade. All I could do was laugh. I wanted to kick myself in the ass because I have special scissors made to open these damn plastic boxes.

Had the same gloves for probably about five or six years. They were pretty well but they're a little small for my hands though they are labeled as extra-large.

I wonder if these would fit better. I tried a ton of gloves on at Home Depot and Lowes and they just weren't big enough.

One of my friends who came down to help has freakishly huge hands. I bought him a pair of x-large for this project and they were actually a tad big on him. Both guys commented on how amazing those gloves were. You can even work your smart phone with them on.

I'll give them a shot.

Charged me an even $500, so 88 cents a foot. I gave both those guys a $20 tip.

$20 tip?

Cheap ass :shakehead:

It took them 1 hour and the sprayer did all the work. All they had to do was walk along the fence and point the nozzle. I honestly dont think any kind of tip was merited.
