How do you have a walk-off homer in the 7th inning? What is this, woman's softball??? :D

Sometimes it's the end of the second game of a double header ...?

(edit) ...just checked - it was a double header to make up for a game that was PPD from 7/12

Was talking to the ticket office in Clearwater last night before the game, the ticket sales for the week he is here, have taken a upswing. They were already having a record breaking year (just a good family environment) but the girl was saying that it is the highest sale for a non-division series that they have ever had.

Tebow should be able to start at AA next season.

Many top prospects now make the jump from AA to the bigs. AAA has essentially turned into a league of career minor league guys,
and where the aging veteran goes to die. Hoping for one last bump to the bigs before hanging it up. Of course there are some top level prospects
in AAA. Maybe there is a solid veteran at the position at the big league level, or they need just a little bit more seasoning before being called up.But for the most part the prize arms and prospects don't usually spend a lot of time there. Regardless the pitching he will face at AA will be a huge test. If he does well the big leagues become a reality.

I have to say I am surprised he is doing much better at high level A ball versus low level A ball.

I'm not, premium athletes sometimes have issues with the A (18/entry league) but when they move to A+ things click due to talent level. Also his mechanics are getting better, also better coaching.

It has to be that. It is amazing. A hitting streak and going deep too.

Apparently he's currently on a 5-game hitting streak!

Tebow on a five-game hitting streak for St. Lucie Mets
Former Florida quarterback Tim Tebow is heating up in minor league baseball, riding a five-game hitting streak with a .345 batting average since his promotion.

Don't look now, but former Florida quarterback Tim Tebow is off to the races after being promoted to the St. Lucie Mets, the High-A affiliate of the New York Mets.

Now 10 games into his promotion, Tebow is rocking a .345 batting average and is currently on a five-game hitting streak.

With six RBI in his last four games, Tebow has done just about everything the Mets could have hoped for.

He also has two home runs and a slugging percentage of .621. Those numbers put him among the most productive players on the team. He has the highest batting average of any player with at least 25 at-bats on the Mets' roster.

It's still early, but the venue change for Tebow seems to be doing him well. He was previously hitting just .220 in 64 games with the Columbia Fireflies prior to his promotion.
It is astounding how he is doing at the higher level A ball. His skills and baseball knowledge must be coming back to him.

This has "Dos Equis commercial" written all over it.

They really dropped the ball with this new guy. Tim would've been the perfect fit.

Pitching is better at the higher levels but that also means hitters see more strikes and a lot less wildness than in the entry level leagues. Hitters don't have to be as worried about those pitches that are "juuuuuuuust a little outside". They can get more settled in the box and more selective when they're not as concerned about pitches over the backstop.
