You're the resident lib that thinks he's smarter than everyone. When you finally grow up, you'll realize the truth and we'll welcome you to the real world with open arms, buddy! :grouphug:
Well I'm definitely smarter than the Share Brothers who started this topic and 14,000 other useless topics. But then again, that's not a fair fight.

I do love how you guys just resort to political insults when you have no other recourse, though. Really reinforcing the whole lowest common denominator thing.

So a college athlete advocates for college athletes to get paid, and that's a rant? He's only about the 18 millionth college athlete to say that very thing. You guys sure do get angry easily.
Which is exactly why it's pathetic that a two-time bench warming transfer with a multi-millionaire father finds the need to comment on collegiate athletes being paid. Maybe if he spent less time tweeting from the sh!tter and more time watching film or hitting the gym, he'd actually be able to throw a football past the LOS.

He wasn't saying only he needed to be paid, he was saying ALL college athletes need to be paid. Big difference. But once again, I wouldn't expect any kind of rational analysis of his comments on here.

which would make him an even bigger dumbass. Not only would they lose some of the benefits they receive currently, but they would be lucky to get 5 cents if ALL college athletes were paid.

actually, you've done exactly zero rational analysis on what he has ACTUALLY said on the subject...If I had to venture a guess, you probably haven't read anything that he has said outside of what has been posted in this thread.

Go ahead, please provide us with a rational analysis on how you expect all collegiate athletes to be paid, fairly. I'd also like to know, since LDR is a collegiate athlete, what you think he should be paid. Even further, don't forget the women, whom participate in sports that in most cases do not generate revenue. In fact, they are sink in terms of revenue generation. I'll hang up and listen.

I didn't say I agreed with him 100%, I just told you what he was saying. Reading comprehension is awesome!

Yes, they get stipends for living off campus, as does every college student. I got them every year. But if a school is making absurd amounts of money off their efforts, many of whom are putting their long-term health at risk, it's not outside the realm of reasonable human logic to think they should be compensated more than your average college student.

Case in point. My older brother, who played NT on scholarship at Furman, blew his knee out his senior year and had knee replacement surgery at age 33. 33! And that's not even an uncommon occurrence. I know for a fact he wishes he could have gotten more than an off-campus housing stipend for his efforts.

I feel badly that your brother suffers from knee injuries. I wish him the best.

I have a friend that grew up riding dirt bikes in races all over Florida. All those motocross races has definitely affected his health, especially his back. When we choose to participate in extreme activities or contact sports we accept the risks involved.

It's a choice we make.

I've had back problems from favoring a bad knee over 2 decades. All stems from an injury playing baseball at 12 years old. I was never compensated for my contributions to the Mandarin Athletic Association, even though I was either on the All Star team or playing for the championship every year.
Maybe I should go after some of that big money, too. :scratchchin:

I'm considering suing the NW Boy's Club for my back problems. I'm near certain sure it was caused by that one time that kid hit me in the back bone with his face mask and made me fumble on the 1 yard line.

How much money did they make in ticket revenue, advertising, donations, and increased enrollment off your efforts?
