I don't know what realistic expectations we should have for him. However, if he's anything close to being the type of player that his dad was, we want him.

Meh, I haven't heard anything about the kid other than he's a legacy. He's a 5.6 on Rivals so it's not like he's a high level 4*. When I first heard about him I thought he was a two way player that we wanted at TE. Maybe I'm misremembering,but 6'5 240 white guy sounds more like an in-line TE than a DE.

Well, he's still in HS so he likely arrives on campus a year from now over 250 and likely adds 15-50 more before he finishes his college career. And our DL board ain't lookin so hot. I'd like to have him.

Copeland was the first kid mac called once he got to UF and he's been on him every since. He's coming to FNL instead of going to Bama so hopefully that's a good sign.

The Marietta, Georgia, native is listed at 6-foot, 175 pounds, and he’s a burner. He’s the son of former NBA All-Star Mookie Blaylock.

Whatever Kirby is doing, it's really working. I guess we landed the one Saban disciple that couldn't recruit.

Isn't Kirby working for his alma mater? Get a worthy Gator Great on UF's staff. Again I echo Kerwin Bell would be excellent in motivation-drive, commitment, speaking to recruits with honest-true passion. Plus, Kerwin would connect with and draw more from UF's greatest source sorcerer Steve Spurrier.

Let's think out of the box, tricky like Sabin & Harbough = have ambassador Spurrier teach an academic credit course ( prerequisites: you know, # of pushups, pull-ups, 40 times etc.). To QBs, the prof-designed course can give that baseline "before" Wonderlic Test and a finals Wonderlic to detect the "really catches on" order of our QBs.
Steve could use Mac's & Nuss's scores as the course failure baseline.

He does have to contend with some good out of state schools (Bama, Clemson, UF), but when it comes to kids who want to stay in-state and close to home there really isn't a lot of competition.

The state of Florida is a much bigger challenge with 3 big name schools and big name coaches. Plus dealing with all the schools that focus on recruiting Florida (Michigan, Bama, OSU, etc...)
