And yet Mustcrumb had a better offense. UnbelievableAt this point they in their careers at Florida, Chump and Butters have the same record.

We got f***ing walkons making plays our scholarship guys can't make. It's gonna be a looooong time before this ship gets righted.
This was hilarious and frightening at the same time. All we need is two players blocking each other to come full circle.
Mac looked like a dead man walking in his Wednesday presser. No energy. Defeated. He's been put on notice imo.
That play is indicative of our time under McElwain, post the OM game. Probably 75% of the time, a blocked punt is blocked well enough to cause it to stall, or even go backwards. We get a blocked punt, and it still is a net 11 yards for them. That play, combined with the holding penalty on Thompson's TD(which was right, but probably inconsequential) likely have a major impact on the game.
To your last point, though, I'm not sure the right guy can't come in and immediately spark this team. We need help in certain key areas, but there's enough talent on offense that we should be able to score points. And the defense isn't as devoid of talent as the offense was when JM took over from WM. It does suck, however, to be having almost the identical conversation less than 36 months later. Yeesh.
meh, i think the roster is setup for exactly what we currently have, garbage. It doesnt matter which offense we go with, someone has a serious rebuilding job ahead of them. Mac has been an abysmal failure with regards to roster management.I'm just wondering if and when a change is made if we stick with a pro-style coach, cause the roster should be setup for that, or go the spread route again, but then the roster will have to be overhauled to fit the spread.

We have some small receivers already but we don't have a young QB to run anything like Meyer ran with Tebow. I don't think Toney is cut out for QB
"who's on first?"
Let this be a lesson learned and don't let it happen again.Thank you for correction and my apologies to those I misled. I heard Moral Stephens on the live broadcast and never heard of Garrett Stephens so may have misheard it as well. I taped the game but didn't have the stomach to watch the debacle again. Consequently, I had no number to check against or reason to look at roster. Shame on me.
This whole "rebuilt the offense" mantra is crazy talk. We have a couple of nice WRs, not game changers by any stretch, and some "mehhh" RBs. The offensive line is still a disaster and the TEs are nonexistent in the passing game and can't block. Qbs? yeah. A freshman that is probably two years away from being ready and some 2nd string caliber guys.To your last point, though, I'm not sure the right guy can't come in and immediately spark this team. Hang tough, bro. I didn't know for sure either and try to block all memory of the game from my head.Thank you for correction and my apologies to those I misled. What the heck is going on?

The defense is straight up crap other than DE and some hope that a couple of DBs will develop. On defense we are playing walkons or freshmen as soon as we have a twisted ankle at eight positions on the field.
This is the least talented team since 1979 and it isn't even close. We can pretend those terrible recruiting classes didn't happen but it won't change what happens on Saturdays for the next couple of years.
Yep, maybe not take out Alabama but score points and stop being blown out at least. The right coach could do something with the players we have.
Since we're talking circus, is it too much to ask that Butters and Nuss have an unfortunate encounter with a couple of out of work circus bears?
