I called this the other day. Storms are always later than forecasted. If Gville is hit late Mon or early Tues, and power is lost for 1-2 days, that's your whole week of preparation. Not to mention the fan base that may still be reeling.

What a disaster of a season.

I didn't really want to play them this week anyways, and that would give Mac 3 weeks to prepare for Ky. We good. Lol
He had 8 months to prepare for Michigan, and we all saw what a shyt show he delivered.

So we can't practice unless the ac is working?

Maybe we'll get to see one of those Del Rio 80 yard passes this week in practice with that 100 mph wind at his back.

This is the worst part of having these games cancelled. Having to deal with the reality and the issues for all involved. But being off so long with the state of our team right now is just awful. Best wishes for all of you that are riding this out.

Is that really a bad thing for this team? I bet our offense would be better if we actually drew plays on the turf in the huddle.

Hey don;t LOL yourself b/c you may actually be on to something. Butters had 8 full months to prepare for UM and look where that got us. I am thinking the less time Butters has the less chance we totally stink it up. So if we could be like baseball and play a game every day, perhaps once or twice a week we would not look like total SHYT b/c of no time to prepare. B/C when Butters says "We HAD a good plan". that has proven to be the K O D!

So I mean you guys know the entire 8 months from the Iowa game to the Michigan game wasn't spent only on Michigan, right? You do realize that, right? Right??

Hyperbole. Of course they focused on other things. But outside of a bowl game, the opener, especially one that commands respect, should be your largest amount of prep time. Coaches and players talk about that all the time.

Unless UM goes undefeated, gives up the fewest offensive points in NCAA history and wins it all, there's really no excuse for that showing. Even then I'm not sure.

Talking more about prep time in general. No power or water 3 days minimum out from kickoff, with refugees still making their way out of schools and other makeshift shelters. Not to mention the paramedics and police that will likely need to be helping elsewhere in the state. If NCol couldn't be played 2-3 days before the storm is scheduled to hit the area, I'm not sure how 3-4 days after the hit is any better. Not ideal fir the team either, especially with kids having family back in SWFL, but I think the area will not be in shape to play.

In the past we played them with other parts of FL messed up. No reason imo to give up that home field if hurricane conditions don't strike Gainesville itself and I mean real hurricane sustained wind conditions not this doom porn nonsense the news people are hyping about wind gusts.
