Perhaps this is the beginning of the end for Urbs at OSU as the ball seems to have started rolling last year. I sometimes hear someone say that the fans ran off Creyer from UF, but it just causes me to laugh b/c I think it was Saban who ran him off. Urb saw the writing on the wall and probably would have stayed away, until that "cush" job opened up at OSU. My personal thought is that it would only be a matter of time before Harbaugh ran Urb off when he took over at UM, but perhaps the loss against Clemson last year and the loss against OU have started it. And they are not even conference foes. Add the coach at Penn State now along with Harbaugh, and Creyer might just been on that slope again. Urbs is a good coach and loves to be on top, but seems to not like the competition so much, especially when in his own neighborhood.
His roster isn't as good as it was so they're definitely down. JT Barrett is mediocre at best so they'll probably continue this trend until they can get a better QB. This is far from the end though.

Mac was holding the offense back for the 5 SEC wins we need to threepeat the East.....

Urbs has definitely got his hands full with Hardnuts and Franklin. He hit the Big 2 and Little 8 at the right time. Getting thumped in the playoffs and now getting thumped at home. Death Stares and the reflux could becoming more of a fixture. Guess this first year coach at OU has nothing to blame on the players. But his days of running the gauntlet in that conference unchallenged are over. And yes, he's a better coach than MacNussy.

That QB on OSU is simply not that good and Oklahoma has the type of offense that can overcome a great D line if its clicking that day.

Notre Dame will most likely be looking for a new coach next year...

1st yr coach in his 1st game goes into the shoe and boat races a 3 time national championship winning coach :scratchchin: meanwhile our coach is in yr 3 and can't manufacture ONE TD against a team that lost 10 starters on defense? :scratchhead:

It is somewhat different, but good point.

He was starting two years ago before he got injured then the third stringer (Cardale Jones- the passing QB who is slow afoot) came in and drastically improved the offense. Suckeyes, who had been struggling to score, won a conference and natl championship game with Jones in blowout fashion. Urbs promplty benched his championship QB and went back to the QB keeper offense suckfest offense with JT Barrett.

Creyer has always been piss poor at Qb talent evaluation.

What is weird is that he knows how to run a vertical passing offense. We saw it in those two games with Cardale Jones and we saw it with Tebow versus OSU and versus Cincinnati. but he will only do it when he's a huge Underdog and feels like he has no other way to win. at first I blamed it on Dan Mullen but clearly that is wrong.

Creyer is the best damn ST coordinator in the land, probably the best ever by a long margin, but his offense has always been a massive waste of talent.

Everytime I read something like this, I can't help but laugh thinking about that spinner play call board that people used to post on another board that basically had plays that said "Tebow left, right or middle and Harvin left, right or middle" Not technologically savvy enough to find it, but thanx for the chuckle. I needed that as I wait for this storm!

... besides that, look at the bad weather they have to put-up with up there.

The guy's been pulling top 5 classes since he's been at OSU. Shouldn't that be enough? That seems to be the consensus around here.

Yeah, I remember seeing some stat about Bammer and Crackumbus having the most blue chippers by a large margin.

Hard to complain about lack of talent. He probably has his best RB since Percy. Not sure what to think.

Edit: 63 blue chippers for Suckeyes per this: http://247sports.com/Season/2017-Football/CollegeTeamTalentComposite

Fwiw- we have 28. Yeah, Ole Butters has rebuilt the roster.

Is he better than the Zook? Zook was on the sidelines of the Packers today. Camera caught him popping pills. Zook vs Cryer

Those were the Dazzler "Addazio" days. Where it seemed like every play was a slight variation of the play that came just before it.
