Spurrier was 6 and 3 against them including 3 SEC championship games not quite enough games played to say we owned them. But he owned them when it mattered. So I'll give you saying we owned them was a bit much.
Bama has never had any in state competition for recruits Saban has nothing to do with that.
The only real advantage he has is he coaches at a school that historically has a lot of great football tradition (so does Florida) and a school that has a lot of money (so does Florida).
Unless your going with the conspiracy theory that he cheats.
If Mac wasn't a steaming pile of dog shyt what makes you believe he would leave for a "better job". I remember a time when their was no better job unless maybe it was for the NFL and "our true gator" left us for that job.
ps: again **** Bama
they do have Auburn, but you make a great point for me, they have advantages that we don't for local athletes.
Better job might be the NFL, or some place closer to his heart. And it is not just him, look at all the assistants that Meyer had, most left and almost none would return, they are not Gators.
We don't have the money that they have and we spend what we do have somewhat differently.
I guess we will have to agree to disagree, and that is fine.
