Not a movie, but finished Stranger Things Season 2 last night on netflix.
i read that story in one of his book of shorts...........good one..........1922 <Netflix>
Written by Stephen King, the story follows a man in the year 1922 who believes firmly the two prides a man has is his land and his son. It had to have been a short story someone stretched into a film. Well, most of his land came from his wife who wants to sell and head to the big city. So, to prevent that, he convinces his son to kill her with him. The bulk of the film focuses on his torment as she visits him and tells of how their son went wrong following that event and died after committing more misdeeds. All in all, this is extremely slow and plodding, as we listen to the narration of the father. The closest we get to any kind of King effect is her ghost, a bunch of rats, and eventually the son's ghost coming back - none of which is particularly gruesome, eerie, or scary in the slightest. No boobs, just rats and dull narration. 3/10, not even recommended for die hard King fans.
some of 5th graders asked me today if I had seen Stranger Things..........I told them sure, every time their class came out to PE.Not a movie, but finished Stranger Things Season 2 last night on netflix. Absolutely fantastic and only a few things to complain about with it. these kids are really good actors and actresses. Unfortunately to talk about it would probably spoil things to much.
I actually thought this season was better. The first season was great, but took me about 3 episodes to really get hooked. This one is pedal to the metal the whole way. Thanks for not spoiling it. I absolutely LOVED season one, not sure how they could make more but I'm eager to see it.
Think I know exactly which character your talking about. Was expecting some big shining moment from them in the end or something. After spending two weeks dedicated to Halloween, the wife and I burned through Stranger Things 2:
Wife was a huge fan of the first season, I enjoyed it but wasn't the same level of fandom. The story picks up almost a year later. Will (who showed he still had issues) is still experiencing issues from his time in the Upside Down. A few new players enter the "world" and the story takes off from Will's increasing amount of issues. A limited character Erica (Lucas's lil sister) became my favorite character, her DGF attitude was awesome in limited screen time. All the usual players are back, and some of the additions were nice but predictable. At least one new major character wasn't even needed, could have done the whole season without them and there would be no real change to the plot. Overall I thought it wasn't as good as the first season, but still very quality TV. 8/10.
JimBob Matrix: no boobs where see or harmed in this show.
