I'm beginning this at the start of the fourth quarter, where we are currently down 35-0 and just started with a 3-and-out. It could be much worse (and maybe it will be at 00:00), but there's no solace. About the best two things that have happened so far today is that I fried some awesome chicken and made a killer pot of collard greens for lunch and, so far, there have been no death threats. The latter could change if McElwain tells us in the presser that he's contemplating suicide as his next ploy to gain some sympathy.

Uh oh! Another long TD gallop by the Dawgs, by their scrubs, no less. 42-0. Gonna be tough finding positives, but we'll give it the old college try as we move forward. First though, our streak at being shut out is in jeopardy. Another McElwain milestone looms on the horizon. Let's begin the dissection:

*Alright, positives first...POTG Johnny Townsend. Kid almost pulls off a coffin corner from his own 30! Punt Cover was not as bad tonight. Perine had some good runs. Defense stiffened at the end of the first half and for part of the third. Tavin Bryan played pretty well, I thought. The first series of the first half was a win for us, as the D forced a 3-and-out. Now for the rest of it...

*Franks is not real good, but after watching our receivers and route trees pretty closely (kudos to CBS and the replays as well as Danielson's commentary), we don't help him any. Combination of poor design and outside of a very few, we have a receiving corps that looks slow and unathletic, as well as undisciplined. Georgia's D is pretty good and Kirby was a damn good secondary coach and D coordinator, but we made them look even better than they are.

*I lost count on how many offensive penalties we incurred. Absolutely ridiculous, but I'm not surprised. Not like we had any distractions last week or that game prep has ever been an issue. SMH still...

*Potential McElwain rally cry..."We were able to keep our streak of consecutive games without being shutout alive!" Beside that, maybe he could use it as a negotiation tool for his buyout or, who knows, an extension?

*Football 101 moment. The quick slant UGA threw to #7 for a nice gain on third down (I believe) was text book. Walk-on LB was in man coverage. A good OC and QB will find that immediately and attack. As an added extra, Chauncey Gardner was injured after getting trucked on the tackle attempt while standing flat-footed. Object lesson is that Swag comes more from the walk than the talk.

*While on the subject of hits, it looked like UGA was popping us pretty good. Us? Not so much. Bad enough to be so fundamentally unsound, but when you aren't real physical either, you won't get much done on that side of the ball.

*Neuheisel just said our longest pass play was 8 yards and, I think I heard right, that we threw for 66 overall. We won't win many with that production. OL was pretty poor most of the game and pass pro was bad, as evidenced by 5 sacks allowed and I don't know how many hurries. Coaching note to Franks: I know you're trying to avoid a negative play, but it's probably too late to try and get rid of it when you're in the grasp.

*Other than Duke's pick there was nothing in the way of turnovers caused. Thus, we were probably 6 or 7 shy of what we needed to keep it close. This a tell-tale deficiency and drop off for our D.

I can't help but feel the worm is turning in this series. Hopefully someone higher up thinks and it becomes a priority to make a great future hire. To repeat about McElwain, and to quote General Maximus..."This not it! This not it!" No doubt, but his lame-brained full retard snowflake moment last week sealed the deal before we ever crossed the Duval county line. Inexcusable and not to be tolerated. A change has got to be made and the sooner the better. Sadly, we don't look to have a sure fire win left on the schedule. Mizzou looks more formidable now and the Nole$, despite how bad they are, can't be considered a lock by any means. Nevertheless, I'll still be rootin' hard, just not for the standing HBC. Hoping the players can win in spite of him. Again, I've never felt as strongly like this about any of our coaches, even Zook and Muschamp.

Go Gators!

C2, before I read your eloquent post, how in the HECK were you able to get more than 15 words out to describe this travesty, LOL. good on you. Now get those coaching shorts out of storage and sharpen that whistle. Duty calls.

I was really happy when Zook was fired, and I was really happy when Muschamp was fired. But, there's no comparison to the way I'm going to feel when the BBQ sauce is thrown in the garbage.

Yes as expected no positives and to top it off a coach who is still positive about our team. Others lost by say one point and were contrite. He just does not get it, being friends with your players does not get the job done. Very happy I did not watch.

C2, sooner rather than later, yes and Butters teed it up for the admin nice and high this week with his presser. He is gone and Butters did it all himself. All the idiots at UAA have to do is sign the papers. should be done by now.

Nailed it Cover.
Out muscled, out smarted, out tackled, out played, out coached sums it up. Had flashbacks to the 79 Bama game with all those long runs going on.

Lol..and you are right, when Danielson started talking about poor route designs to help Franks out, I knew it was over. Of course when Swain lost another easy 50/50 ball.....of course Gardener really had to eat his slant comment. I hope all the injuries today are okay going forward. I feel bad for the guys that stayed out of trouble and are playing hard.

Now waiting for the axe and rebuilding,

Go Gators

BC showed that the holes can't stop the run.
jawja showed that Mizzou can't stop the run.

Thankfully, that is all we can do and we'll be better if Zaire is playing QB. How much worse can he play than Franks and beans?

I am all in on Scott Frost but after watching the tackling the last 8 years, we need Charlie Strong. Our DBs have not tackled since he left.

It's time to hand the keys to Allen and Corral and let them battle it out in the spring . Franks time and time again makes the same
Mistakes and isn't learning from them. He just doesn't see things the way good QBs
do . The 4th down play where he had Cleveland open for the first and threw into the end zone is a fine example . Outside of one deep ball to swain I can't recall another deep throw .

This was as ugly a performance I've seen from a gator football team. It's clear as day this man knows he is done . Zaire needs his chance to lead us to bowl eligibility under Randy. As far as I'm concerned franks can go with Mac. He's even more hopeless than driskel .

Now onto to the bright spots. Perine ran hard and we know we have a good one in Davis . I liked what I saw from lemons running hard late as well. Brad Stewart #2 looks to be our next great safety . He needs to start moving forward . I've had it with bozo Chauncey running his mouth . I cringe every time these clowns talk to the media. All they prove is a lack of leadership.

:exactly: as always. Started making a huge pot of Chicken Corn Chowder at the start of the 3rd Quarter. Best part of the game. For the record this is one time that I hope Ed Ashcoff is right.
