@ChrisDoering: Lots of talk about Frost, Norvell and Mullen as UF's next coach but I'm intrigued about the possibility of Chad Morris taking over.

I don’t think Frosts defense would be neglected like some other offensive gurus, on the contrary, he played on the defensive side of the ball in the NFL and has had success coaching defense as well. He IMO is the most well rounded candidate.
This guy oozes elite. The next elite coach imho. If we don't get him someone else will and they will be celebrating the way we should be. I'm nervous that our AD and crew just don't care about the long haul and finding the most obvious fit

Amazing to think SMU is in the AAC. That was once an elite program.

I want Kelly or Frost. We know Kelly is a legit elite coach; and I think of all the unproven ones, Frost is the most likely one to be an elite coach. His coaching pedigree is unreal, and he is coming into his own as a head coach right now

So you think Frost, with his one good half-season, should be ahead of him? Or Norvell, who has the same thing? Hell, at least Fuente is at a major program doing damage. Two of your three names are FAR more risky hires than a guy who has won at two programs, one of them being a P5 program with garbage talent.

I don't think Frost is risky at all. 100% non risky actually. Even if we suck on d his offense will keep us in games. I'm just saying, 3 out of our last 4 hires were god awful, and if we don't go out there and offer the sure things first, then **** it. What else is there to say? Football will be in another 70 year mediocre tail spin until another prodigal son comes home to dig us out

I think every hire is risky. There is no guaranteed success head coach. Just like recruits, some 5* are busts and some 3* turn out great. Obviously, we increase the odds of success with a 5* hire. Whoever is hired, I will get behind the new coach, support him to the fullest (unless/until there are red flags indicating problems), and be happy. Go Gators!!! sohappy.gif

Espn bottom line suggesting cocaine as interim

Probably will be him. I don’t think it matters at this point. I think he’ll be gone, too, when all is said and done. If they do keep him, I’d guess it would be short term (maybe 12-15 months at most) to keep some sense of continuity for the recruits while the new HC gets his legs under him.

UCF has a pretty nice defense actually
