Would Mac get this treatment?

**** Muschamp and those that wanted to suck him off on the field yesterday, players and staff alike fawning over him, including that big dunce of an FHP trooper.

He is a god damned UGA Dawg. I want the son of a ***** to lose every game and have ZERO success in Columbia.

I don't know why, but I just kind of felt like you'd have a softer stance on this subject.

From what I've seen of the players, I don't get the sense that the players were that fond of Mac. When Champ left it almost started a mutiny by the players. They didn't seem to bat an eye at Mac's firing.

Was there yesterday, stayed til the end (why not, you can't get outta that town any quicker if you leave early). Saw it for myself, and it was touching to see the players hug Muschamp. As pointed out, Muschamp was a real mensch, a good guy, who just didn't understand offense. If he had hired someone like Roper as his initial OC instead of fatso Weis, he might have had a lot more success. Nonetheless, he is a good fit at SC, where 8-4 seasons are "acceptable", and I wish him future good fortune, just not at our expense.

Watching a UGA Dawg gut our football program, then still draw $$ to this day, then our people fawn over him is ****ing wrong.

I'd wager that Mac has been fired from a fry cook job multiple times. I'd fire that lazy SOB in a heartbeat.

Not surprised. The guy is one helluva recruiter, the D players loved him, and he is a legit D coach. He's stubborn to a fault, and that was his downfall here. The continuous regression on offense was unacceptable, and he should have demanded changes or resignations. I really wanted him to win, but realized halfway thru his third year that he wouldn't make it at UF. He's probably in the right spot now in Carolina. I used to hate the guy, but I learned a few years ago that I can't blame him for Foley's mistakes.

I am astounded at the short memories here. Muschamp was a maniac. I wouldn't leave a dog alone with Muschamp.

Good guys don't froth at the mouth at 18 year old kids as if they want to rip out their heart like Temple of Doom.
Good guys don't need bandaids at halftime because they lost control of their ability to use words
Good guys don't insult reporters with juvenile antics when asking legit questions.

Do you guys even know what a midline is?

But yeah, Muschamp's a good guy and a great coach....

WM gets lucky again. He is in the SEC East at a time where almost every team is a dumpster fire. Like his first year at UF, he gets applauded as a great coach. Give it some time. When the rest of the East puts their fires out you will see the same WM.

He is a 8-4 or 7-5 coach in a good year. It is what he will always be.

His offense, even with Roper, was 110ish. Always will be. Actually Weis produced his best offense, minimally better anyway.

My understanding is that basically everyone (but the fans) loved Muschamp and they we're very upset he didn't work out. Players, media, administration. There was some assistant coaching friction but that's a different issue.

Chumps recruiting prowess is overblown. Much like Zook he lost it when he left Florida. USCe 2018 class loaded with 3 stars as it always is. He can land a defensive recruit when he's got something to sell but so can most. Damn sure couldn't recruit offense.

Proud to be a pariah and dumped on b/c I said that Muschamp was a mensch. I stand by that. I also stand by stating that he's a good fit for SC, where 8-4 is a successful year. Maybe he'll get them to 9-3. But he will never get them better than that. If you want more (and I know you ALL hate Pat Dooley, although I quote him freely, and don't give a whit what anyone thinks), read the blog I post on our Savannah Gator Club website, especially my latest post. And especially, the end of second paragraph from my post from yesterday.

We need to find a coach who win a lot of games in an entertaining manner, who can do it on the up-and-up without any NCAA violations, who can mold outstanding players who are also outstanding men that will represent our university well. Chip Kelly isn't that guy. I think Scott Frost could very well be that guy.

Savannah, I agree with most of what you said (8-4) and have the same concerns about Kelly.

I'm glad you are back and hope you post more.
