I knew Helfrich had been fired, but I didn't know that he wasn't coaching somewhere else. Looks like we have our new OC. Let's talk about Helfrich.

A logical choice if Chip gets the job. Plus we could probably get him cheap! He had around an 11 milllion dollar buyout from Oregon.

We could bring in Lagarrette Blount as part of the S&C staff and he can teach the art of the sucker punch. We'll use it at the end of any loss, especially if it's to UT, UGA, LSU, or FSU. I like it!!!

Put that duo back together with the fertile Florida recruiting grounds. Hell yes get the band back together.

It's the logical built in choice were Kelly to happen. The real question is the defensive staff.

Time to dive

I was joking obviously. The guy has an interesting background w/ the Urban-tree and the Kelly-tree. I'm sure he's been around some exciting offenses. He was a GA at UF under Meyer as well.

Would take that hire at DC in a heartbeat...that dude took crap talent at Colorado and made them a very solid defense

Based on history, my guess is Billy Davis. He's currently Meyer's linebackers coach. He was Kelly's DC in Philly all three years.

However, Leavitt given his history in Florida would be a logical choice, too, and a good one.
