Yep it seems like it really is done now. Quite a few who said we were just waiting for Kelly's signature claim its a done deal now its just whenever they decide the best time to announce it is.

Wednesday or Thursday would be good I think - after the playoff rankings and get a few days press before this weekend also.

What would be the odds they break the news right before the playoff show tonight on ESPN? It would suck all the oxygen out of that show. They wouldn’t help but have to talk about it while everyone is tuned in for the top 4.

Staffers in the football office at Oregon reported that the department took on "a wild west feel" during that early coaching transition. There was also a line of off-field incidents that were messy. Kelly was still figuring out how to handle the bureaucratic delicacies of being a head coach while also being a hands-on head coach. But he eventually figured it out.

"He's an Olympian when it comes to being stubborn," said one high-ranking athletic department official during Kelly's tenure.

Some men have the extraordinary capability to go down roads less traveled. Kelly went from New Hampshire to Oregon to ending up fired twice in the NFL, richer by $55 million. Now, he's working as an analyst on television. I always felt that part of the unspoken beauty of Kelly was that he didn't just try to do things differently, he worked until actually pulled it off.

He will make it work. I am betting half the team will quit. They were pampered by lazy coaches.

Would love to see folks in the SEC scrambling to make substitutions of defense. NE offense with Brady on steroids is what CK will run. Snap the ball quickly to get a free play.

Is there anyway to see if a flight plan has been filed to come back?
If they were just going to pick him up they would have a return time. If they are going to negotiate the return time would be up in the air (no pun intended).
Just trying to overthink this.

There will be some for sure but not many...i think most kids at this level really want to be coached and coached hard...they want to win and they want to make it to the NFL.

@pat_dooley: If they are, they are doing so without their AD who will be at women's game reception tonight.
