I don't think you get it. That exact story you shared was already shared in this exact thread. A few other sites have posted articles only linking to Forde's article. The only source on this rumor is Forde's article. You can't corroborate one source with the same source.

I don't claim to be as in touch with what's going on in Gainesville as most of you ****ers, but why is this so hard for so many of you to understand? The reason we haven't announced Kelly as our coach is because no one ever names their new coach before the season ends. It's the way things are done. The deal is done, their just waiting til season ends to announce it for multiple reasons, but mainly to keep us in the limelight a little longer. We need all that we can get after the past 7 years. It's over with, quit worrying about it and drink a beer and enjoy it. It's about to get fun again.

It’s clear that we swung and missed. Florida wouldn’t hide it if he signed. You can create all the imaginative story lines you want for it, but there was no reason for them to hide it if it was a success.

I still like the idea of Kelly, but I’ve said it before that I want someone who wants UF. You all should want that. We know what it entails, and I want a coach to look at it and say “F- yeah I’ll do that!” I’ve been on the frost train from the start. I’m still on the frost train. That’s the dude I envision to be my coach. Not some fat slob who doesn’t give two ****s about the program or it’s people.

If I had to label myself, I would say I was a pumper but finally jumped off the sinking ship during the UT game. Although I could tell Mac wasn't getting it done I felt like he was going to turn it around. Truth be told I'm glad I was wrong cause we're about to land Chip Mother F*cken Kelly....

Call me a pumper but I want nothing more than for UF Football to be back on top sooner rather than later.

I don't know either but I bet if the contract was signed we would not be waiting for tradition. We would announce to get our class on board and to perhaps attract some other recruits earlier. Just my take, basically worth what you paid for it.

Kelly's career in the NFL has nothing to do with college football. His college football system is proven.

... So, nothing has nothing to do with blindly eliminating your team's most productive players. Plus, what other vitals will he ignore, blindly believing in his supreme method. His wins at Oregon were with a NFL-caliber QB at the helm, heavily relying on the option. I can see that working against "out-west" defenses but wary of success against SEC defenses, wary being the operative word..

What NFL caliber QB? Darron Thomas? Jeremiah Masoli? He didn't have Mariota until his final year.
