@BruceFeldmanCFB: Source tells me Chip Kelly really liked the #UF brass and was impressed by them and that made it hard but in the end he was more comfortable living on the West Coast than in Gainesville & with the opportunities at #UCLA.

You're setting yourself up. He made up with the fans. Dr Tom was in Orlando earlier this year. That's a done deal. Sorry.
You know darn well he's going home to his beloved cornpuckers

Only 4 million a year. Curious what the incentives are.

Only foolish people think that money is everything, it might be for those that don't have any, but for those that do it is either how to keep score or after a certain amount of wealth is obtained not really important unless it is so much that you can make massive changes in your life or the world.

@BruceFeldmanCFB: Chip Kelly agreed to a five-year contract worth $23.3M with a $9M reciprocal buyout. #UCLA

That money's not anywhere near to what I would have expected. Matter of fact, it's laughable. If that's accurate, it really was all about fit and comfort.

Assume the worst boys, that’s where we are at.

Maybe the most nauseating thing about all of this is the fact that after the past 7 years, the "assume the worst" and frustration almost feels more natural. When it was leaked about the flight to NH, the whole excitement felt foreign. It's sickening.

Oh well, can't say I'm surprised, just seems the way of the world now, when it comes to Gator FB, can't catch a break
Yeah, I'm realizing that I need to quell my expectations. It may be a long time before we're good again.

@GatorDave_SEC: Was never really about money with Chip. Wanted to be able to get the assistant coaches he needed so saved money there. Wasn’t going to give him everything he demanded.

In hindsight, fortune may have smiled on us. Doesn't sound like Kelly was interested in the intensity and competition of recruiting and coaching in the SEC. I'm more concerned about losing Frost than losing Kelly. I'm not as pessimistic about the other coaching options out there, but it sure would have been nice to see what Frost could do at UF.

Right. Word is, UF offered more money. It’s kinda crazy.

Tom Osborne has already wooed Frost to come home. I'm not holding my breath on this one either. We might be the last kid to get a date to the dance and her name might be Ingrid.

Chip was more worried about fit and comfort. He'll do not better than he did at Oregon.

What did Ryen Russillo say in that ESPN session? He said it would come down to how comfortable Kelly felt with the people he was going to be working for. A trust issue.

I morphed into thinking he could be bought. Apparently not.
