If Danny boy gets those lace less Jordans going he could have a huge head start on picking up everyone's scattered pieces.

I don't think I've ever seen upheaval like this.

Texas A&M is going to seriously regret that hire. Jimbo is one major ass.

The further from here that sleeze goes the better. I'd rather he coach the university of Alaska.

WTF is A&M thinking?

A&M is thinking they are a massive, wealthy, football crazy institution with a giant newly refreshed and expanded stadium, with uber-deep pocket alumni in rich and fertile recruiting country. They despise the flagship UT and want to strut their superiority over them. They think there’s no reason they shouldn’t be fighting toe to toe with Bama for the SECw with the right coach.

What boxes does Jimbo check?
1. NC ring
2. Great recruiter
3. Did it at a major program
4. Managed to do this as successor to a legend who hung on way too long.

After Tebow’s last win over F$U it looked like we might not ever lose to them again. Jimbo flipped that and if not for Clemson’s rise would have a few more credits to his resume. So if he’s just done at F$U and ready for the next challenge, snag him.

That’s what they think.

I think Jimbo’s a great recruiter and a decent coach but a dork who overachieved because he landed Winston (a sociopath but an amazing athlete.) I can’t stand his whiny sideline antics. He’s also suffering from losing assistants that were key to his success.

But to a program looking for an accomplished coach he looks pretty good.

I think it's far from clear that Jimbo's a great recruiter. he certainly wasn't known as a great recruiter at LSU or even at clowntown when he first got there.

A good deal of the clowns successful recruiting had to do with us making terrible hires and not being attractive to kids.

In any event being a strong recruiter in Florida doesn't necessarily mean being a strong recruiter in Texas, just ask Charlie.

I prefer to see him remain at clowntown greatly wounded. however none of the replacement options I really concerning either so so be it. the relatively late change gives us some recruiting advantages.

Theo is right though, ATM is going to make a big push. they won't be out spent and desperately want to be elite.

That Gulfstream G-IV is certainly an A&M aircraft.

Headed from College Station to Tallahassee this morning. And then scheduled to leave Tallahassee and back to College Station this afternoon.

This is a really good post. How often do you get a chance at a coach that won a title? Saban won't be there forever.
