"It's going to be bitter sweet watching him kick our asses. He could have been ours but old fools and their pride will bring us nothing but future heartache. I don't even care anymore."

Yeah, because he'll finally be successful in his 5th head coaching gig.

:headslap:

Someone would be happy a close friend of mine went to FAU back in the day and he was not too happy to have him as coach.

In a final "put-up or shut-up" let's have Kiffin take over at Arkansas. In appropriateness don't give Kiffin a salary, give him an allowance ... and a kerfluffle curfew.

Arky is about to throw a lot of money at Malzahn. It's going to get interesting.

Vol firing of AD thwarts their effort to rehire Kiffin as Arkansas strikes first???At least that would keep your"Vols won't have him" story alive.
Good Lord, sometimes I think you go out of your way to be dense....you can't be this dumb. KIFFIN BURNED ALL BRIDGES AT UT. As a result, they don't want him - either Currie or Phat Phil. How hard is that to understand?

It's not "Phat Phil". He's not rap-cool, he's just fat. Actually, "Front butt", to borrow Law's name for Weis, is a lot more appropriate. Amirite?

Edit: Just saw this point covered in another thread. Ox evidently likes "Phat".

I assume you meant"persistent" when you said"dense".

Just talkin' hogs brought this true family story.
At at Waycross, Ga. highschool my Uncle's grandson & friends got 4 pigs and painted on the 4 the #s 1,2,3,5. They greased them all and released them into the school hallways. Can you imagine their internal chuckling hours on in as the faculty continued the search for pig # 4?

Arky is about to throw a lot of money at Malzahn. It's going to get interesting.

He's their top choice, but I think the only chance they have in getting him is if he loses tomorrow. If he wins then his season is extended at least another month and I don't think Gus will be willing to walk away from the chance of playing in the championship. No way Auburn lets him coach knowing he agreed to a lesser job. Not sure if Arkansas would be willing to wait for him an extra month after the early signing period either.

I've heard that Norvell is still a backup option for them. They may be considering Kiffin, but they won't let this turn into a UT fiasco. If they get turned down by their top one or two choices, I think they'll go after Norvell since he's the best prospect who is most likely to take the job without giving it much thought. Kind of like how/why Mullen became the the guy as soon as we were selected by Kelly and Frost.

Many in Arkansas speculate that Norvell is the second choice to Gus, but their guess is as good as ours.

All I can say, is that Arky is reported to be all in on Malzahn. I have no doubt that Malzahn will listen, especially after he was on the hot seat earlier in the season.
