He is going to be busy for a long while.
Yeah, I think so. So we'll see how all in Arky is. It could be a huge risk/reward situation if they go that route.

Well it looks like Lil ‘Kif is gonna land on his feet again. Just 11 months after apparently being left on the scrap heap to settle for a 6 figure HC job at low rent FAU, it seems that he’s gonna step up to a $3.5m+ per year, 5 or so year gig.

I personally hope he lands at FSU. No matter what he did coaching wise at Bama or at FAU, I still think he sucks. A leopard doesn’t change his spots. I suspect when he gets that next plum job, he’ll start acting out again and shat the bed. Book it!

All I can say, is that Arky is reported to be all in on Malzahn. I have no doubt that Malzahn will listen, especially after he was on the hot seat earlier in the season.

You’re probably right. Arky is also a place that typically gives a HC more leeway & time than other SEC schools. With the current head coaching carousel, I think he could probably rope them in to a 6-7 year deal at $6.5m or more per year. They’ve got plenty of Wal-Mart cash so money is no object to them.

It is mind boggling that he is even employed as a coach. But I do love his ability to really piss people off. That is just God given talent.

Checked volnation. Despite your fiat, there is a lot of sentiment for Kiffin. Now, maybe phat Phil won't hire him, but who knows? Some indication that the inmates are running the asylum.

There’s a ton of sentiment for Kiffin. Didn’t you notice the thread title? Fulmer would never, ever hire him.

Lane Kiffin is the Kim Kardashian of the coaching world. He's famous and gets jobs for being famous. He's failed miserably at Oakland and was fired for cause which was upheld. He failed at Tennersee and went 7-6 before, God knows why, being brought back to coach the Trojans. Where, yet again, he failed miserably going 4-7 in his last year and was unceremoniously fired on the airport tarmac and not even allowed to fly back with the team.

His biggest claim to fame as a decent coach comes from his time at Alabama when he was the O- coordinator for a team that was 3 deep in 5* athletes and won a couple championships. But to put that in perspective, McElwain also won a championship coaching Alabama athletes.

His lifetime record is 45-24 and 0-2 in bowl games. He's a doosh and one of the most overrated coaches ever.

Lane kiffin is in the right spot he needs to stay there for a couple more years. he has been so spoiled and so annoying he really needs to stay in one place for a few years and grow up. but he can coach there's no doubt about it.
