Why? Roper's offense was scoring 24.1 points per game at Scar, a rate good enough for a whopping 98th in the nation. Was that just too many points for Muschamp to tolerate?

Chump don't want to admit that he puts his fingers in the pie and that's why his offenses suck no matter who is designing it. He should promise the next guy that he won't even enter the offensive side of the building. Then he should further promise to turn off his headset when the Cocks have the ball. Perhaps take a seat on the bench until the series is over. Just some suggestions, coach.

The same Roper that he went around saying that if he had hired him earlier here they wouldn’t have been fired?

I guess Roper doesn't have a grip and having a hard time figuring out the midline.

I already feel sorry for the poor schlub who's going to replace Roper. He has absolutely no chance to succeed. None.

My opinion is that Champ never hires the architect of the offense he’s calling plays for, OR an OC that develops and actually coaches.

He needs a young bright OC that will come in and actually impliment changes.

Pease and Roper were two guys that were just enjoying the ride from their head coaches success. Weiss was a fat lazy ass who couldn’t develop a picture from a digital camera

nuss is available. Grab Nord while you are at it.
I know you are being sarcastic, but I seriously would not be surprised if it was nuss. I loved muschap as a defensive coach and recruiter, but that is exactly the type of move he makes as an HC.

And how nuss got hired here is beyond me. He has some dirt
on someone.

You think USCe fans would connect the dots to his UF days but they seem to think its going to get better with he next OC.

:scratchhead: Poor bastards.

@DK_Thompson: Muschamp has had four OCs as a head coach in six seasons and will have his fifth OC in his seventh.

He just needs to hire someone off the david shaw coaching tree and stop pretending that he wants to run something else.

I thought Roper didn't do that bad there. When that receiver went down early in the season it limited them some. He seemed to try to push the ball more than he did at UF.

He's like the opposite of Bob Stoops, Gary Patterson, or even the lower tier Todd Graham -- defensively minded coaches who consistently make outstanding hires for OC.
