Urban Meyer has had 20+ Coordinators since 2001.

He's 176-31

Let's get this over with now. Urban Meyer is Urban because of himself. Stop trying to diminish one of the greatest coaches of all-time to prop up some Miss ST dog that can't beat a good team if he tried. I guess Mullen left that part of his coaching with Urban...the beating of the ranked teams. Oops.

Stop the madness. It makes us look desperate to try to validate our mediocre coach.

And yet Mullen was a part of Urban's staff from 2001-2008 and Herman from 2011-2014. Go back and review Urban's level of success when neither Mullen or Herman were a part of Urban's staff.

Urban has had access to the best players in the country at OSU and has failed each year to develop a notable QB under his tenure. Meanwhile, in lowly Starkville, Mullen recruited and developed Dak Prescott into an excellent college AND pro QB. See a pattern emerging here? Not trying to justify the hiring of Mullen, just attempting to dispel the ridiculous notion that Urban is Urban because of Urban and no one else.

Rex, what I'm saying is, until he is proven otherwise... it is what it is. So far its' been similar.

I'll go out on a limb and say they don't go 4-8 next year. They probably win the East again. I don't see Chump at all.

I don't think he is Chump, but it also wouldn't shock me if they fell closer to either. They employ a run heavy attack where it doesn't expose the quarterback to much (sound similar). They limit mistakes and beat up on a historically down SEC East (sound familiar).

You're full of ****. Sorry. Meyer is one of the greatest football coaches ever. I hate his guts for how he left our program but the guy is a winner. He's won everywhere he's been with multiple staffs. Your argument is epic fail.

I don't see a pattern outside of pumpers trying to make Mullen seem better than he really is.

One of the greatest coaches ever?! The guy took a leave of absence and ultimately left the game for a year (two years after Mullen left Florida I might add). Urban is a great coach, when he has a solid staff in place. Again, go back and look at what Urban has done without Mullen or Herman. By OSU's standards the the high regard in which they hold Urban, the results aren't good. Stroll over to Bucknuts and see for yourself.

Nick Saban, on the other hand, has had a revolving door in terms of assistant coaches and still maintains an incredibly high level of success (in the SEC). He will go down as one of the greatest coaches in history.

Meyer won't even go down as best coach in history at either UF or OSU. But, you're right, typical for someone to demand to move on when they've run out rebuttals.

Meyer is an excellent coach, until he looks across the field and sees Saban on the other sideline - or the narcs raid the locker room. Anybody got a case of Bromo seltzer in his pocket?

Meyer is the enemy now but he is an all time great head coach. Winning national championships at two different schools earns you that badge IMO.

He doesn't call any of the plays himself so he needs great people around him but he's always able to find and hire those people which makes him an elite head coach. His teams are almost always in the top 10 and that includes down years and he always recruits with the best, the dude knows what he's doing.

Now, our offenses from 2005 - 2008 were Dan Mullen's offenses. He was one of those great coordinators that Meyer was able to find and hire. He will continue calling plays as head coach which is smart since that's what made him successful. We know the ability is there because we've seen it, Mullen is a great offensive mind but can he do the little things as head coach that Urban did to make us as successful as we were. That story has yet to be written but Mullen's learned from the best so there is hope that he can.

LOL. I'm just gonna let you think that since I am not going to argue about Urban Meyer. You are in a distinct minority btw.

Back to Taggart... He will lock up Tampa to Naples... We will be left with scraps... Hopefully, we can nab good players from Orlando to Jacksonville.

You guys are really funny putting Taggart on this recruiting pedestal you've created in your head

I'm personally not losing sleep over FSU hiring a black Ron Zook. I'm currently not a Mullen fan (I hope to be someday), but right now Mullen > Taggart.

Ya know. Muschamp could recruit too. Why are we afraid of Taggart, a failed USF coach?
I'm happy about the events in Tally, not sure about everyone else. We get rid of a great recruiter that we have beaten one time for a young recruiter with no success to his name. Anyone thinking this is a great hire is simply a nole.
