I wish I had a driveway big enough to require parking bumpers.

IMG_0731.JPG IMG_0732.JPG The irrigation pump has sunk down and needs to be lifted and if possible moved over to where the new dock will go. Hopefully the mainline can just be linked to the pumps new location and of course we'll need to re run the main power to the pump as well as the control box power without being a complete nightmare. The revetment will be placed at the toe of the wall, one foot up and 2 feet out. After that we'll have to have the DEP tell us where we have to plant native aquatic plants :jerkit:....

we have that aluminum sea wall at the river. One of the storms bowed it out in places and my brother said they had anchored it with mobile home anchors. We tied it to the big pine back there to keep it from going further. He thinks we can dig it out with a rental backhoe and then put in real anchors. When it bowed out it ruined our old dock so that is a future job too.

It bowed out from hydrostatic pressure in the soil behind the bulkhead......When you repair it make sure that you have vents, or drains if you will, installed to allow the soil to drain. Also I would rebuild the drainage, or drainfield, by bringing in some fresh fill sand and gravel rock along with some geotextile to prevent any back erosion. Save that wall if you can Coach, this thing is costing us north of $60k....:headslap:

Can you not use a submersible pump out of the pond?
Never heard of using a submersible pump for irrigation??? The water drops sometimes 30 feet or more from the foot of the seawall depending on rainfall. Most submersible pumps I've seen work on a float switch which would leave it on all the time flooding my landscaping and property....Are you drinking?

I don't drink. It would be on this device called a timer, which functions somewhat similar to a clock with hourly, daily and weekly functions. Some even have rain gauges that allow the settings to bypass the schedule based on rainfall. You should get out more.
