This. Never liked the guy. Actually, thought he was already dead. Always associated him with also pulling for FSU and USCw.Always openly pulled for Alabama when he was doing games. My friends and I generally hated him for this. He also despised Steve Spurrier.
Odd considering the montage I just watched on ESPN had his excited calls for "He's going for the corner.........he's GOT IT!" when Vince Young beat USC, and his excited call for one of FSU's Wide Right games. He must have masked his disappointment well.This. Never liked the guy. Actually, thought he was already dead. Always associated him with also pulling for FSU and USCw.
He was college football but so was Bobby Bowden. I suppose we'll have a RIP thread for Bowden?
You're like 18 years old, you weren't around for the Spurrier era. All the Gator fans I knew couldn't stand him because he always pulled against us in games. It had something to do with Spurrier snubbing him for an interview, and Jackson held a grudge for the rest of his career.Odd considering the montage I just watched on ESPN had his excited calls for "He's going for the corner.........he's GOT IT!" when Vince Young beat USC, and his excited call for one of FSU's Wide Right games. I've seen a lot of odd takes on this board, in fact that's what it's known for. But hating Keith Jackson??

I get it. Every announcer who gives an excited call when a play goes against us hates us and wants us to lose. You're like 18 years old, you weren't around for the Spurrier era.
