Reading comprehension isn’t your thing, I understand. Deflection from your area of the state being a shythole, I understand that too.
And you say I have a reading comprehension issue. Where did I say I lived in South Florida? You just tried putting the words in my mouth.

I will have to say based on your subpar performance here, Alky, I've probably forgotten more about South Florida in the past 30 days than you ever knew.

Stick with bourbon. It's more your substance.

I was down there in the 60s. Loved it but I was a kid. Back there for the title game with oklahoma. Loved Miami Beach (where we stayed ) but GOD ALMIGHT the traffic and the way they drove. I didnt feel safe till I was at least 120 miles north of Miami going home.

Miramar Parkway close to 75 is awesome. I just love that part of the country. My sister-in-law lives there and I visit quite often. Good place to raise a family (no kids and so no issue with this). Go with an open mind and you would love it. It is a poor man's LA. About 10 miles to Hallandale Beach.

Nonsense. Listen to Alky. The whole place is a Hispanic shythole.

(He probably isn't even aware half of Miramar is Jamaican.)

Hellhole with Trader Joe's and Whole Foods? Alky needs to visit there. I drove by this area in early 90s. It was nothing but swamps. Now, it is a urban oasis.

Remember it well. I was commuting there regularly from Tampa Bay at the time. The entire 'Glades fringe has grown up.

Only that in prior posts you referenced to living in the area. You’re as bat**** crazy as your partner. I also find it humorous that you are the only two defending that shytstain part of the state. PP lived with white people and stayed segregated from the rest of the shythole. Congrats, you never crossed the tracks. You are two out of touch morons. Personally, hope the next hurricane levels it.

Dude, you're hitting the bottle early today. I made no such reference. But by all means, go ahead and quote me saying it.

Go ahead.

Seriously, Alky, you must have a Confederate flag waiving in your front yard. This is harsh even by your segregationist standards.

You are the only one spewing hate here. OP asked for places to live and PPines offered him advice. Open your mind and take time to smell some flowers.

And you are the only one saying it's a ****hole.

And what's with the segregation reference? The next door's on the south side are Haitian. Catty corner to us is a Trinidadian family. The next door's to the north are a bit obnoxious but the are from New Jersey. Most of my younger son's friends are African American. Most of the wifey and I's friends are Jews.

Lived here since 1985 and have been in every inch of the region. Yep. I'm out of touch.

BTW, this the the most fun I've had on this board in awhile. Keep it coming, alcoholica.

I'm embarrassed for Alky. Must've picked up a bad bottle of Maker's.

You say that as though there is something wrong with a tasteful public display.

Tamiami Trail and Alligator Alley. No gas stations or anything for miles and miles..
Yep. Used to break the tedium on the old two-lane Alley by counting the gator eyes along the edge. It was so pitch black out there, you could actually see 'em.

I never ventured at night. It was all during the day with the hope that I crossed the swamp with no car issues.

That thought occurred a few times. I was fortunate.

What was really weird about crossing the Alley at night when it was two lanes was the light from the nearest oncoming car. You could see it from miles away, a pin dot that would grow larger and larger until it nearly blinded you.
