Yeah, we saw Joan Jett, the B-52's, and a couple of others free there. The B-52's was their first show in forever and was a warm up for the Cosmic Thing tour (first album in 10 years). The crowd was beyond anything the university was prepared for and they had to stop the show at one point to get the crowd under control... it was a great concert though.

I was there too...it was a blast. We got there early playing frisbee and **** well before the concert. It was a blast. I don't remember having to stop. I was thinking the crowd was a little light, but my memory is failing me. There were some in 85 that were at night and just absolutely crazy. Others say the high water mark was 84...forgot the concert (maybe Halloween Ball) but completely out of control.

I saw Outkast, Black Eyed Peas, Ludacris and Tribe called Quest for free at the bandshell.

The following day I saw Taboo (Asian guy from Black Eyed Peas) walking on Newberry Rd in front of the Oaks Mall.

Late 90s were fun.
