I'm normally happy for a team winning its first Super Bowl ever and first championship in nearly 60 years. Especially after they showed that 99 year old guy in the stands. But they make it IMPOSSIBLE to be happy for them.

They already had the Eagles' stadium "fullish" with fans. Why not have an "open invitation" after-party in the stadium. The field was empty. Open the refreshment area. On the field put a bunch of those wobble-type inflated punch-dolls. Hell put Brady-jerseys on them. Pipe in "We are the Champions", pipe in replay-highlights on the Jumbotron of the season and the SB. It's a closed stadium so pipe in laughing-gas, even diluted, it will help. Also, make it a marijuana sanctuary stadium. Plus, use the usual cameras and you'll have video evidence of violators.

I'm not going to try and defend Eagles fans. There are a sht-ton of idiots there. However, to act like this is something unique to them is naive. Even Patriot fans have rioted.

Winners and losers have rioted following the superbowl. Perhaps the statements in the thread should be applied to NFL fans in general?

Edit - I find it funny the Bucs didn't riot when winning in '03. But I suppose the two main reasons would be 1) town already appears to have been looted and burned to the ground, and 2) the fans are so far removed from NFL success they were stunned and unprepared to riot. I say this as a Buc fan going back to the 70's (though I gave up shortly before they actually won).
