Enjoy the winters and days like these....we are expecting 10 inches of snow today...this is a picture from my balcony...if you have been to Chicago, that clear road is Lake Shore Drive...and the snow cover areas between LSD and Lake Michigan is Waveland golf course....hope you are having ****y weather in Florida today you bastards!
You sound salty. News flash most of their games aren't in the cold and half the NFL teams are in spots that get cold.

My first day of work on the North Slope of Alaska in late November, minus 72 degrees Fahrenheit wind chill. Tolerable with proper Arctic gear.

Coldest ever felt was in Lexington, SC during a winter deep freeze. Ran out to get more firewood wearing just a flannel shirt...never again.

The cold and snow are not that bad. They get annoying, but the hard part is the gray. It is super depressing. Add that to dark when you get to work and dark when you leave work in the winter and it becomes unbearable.

For instance out west SLC or Denver it is not nearly as bad. Blue sky’s and snow is actually pretty awesome.

Colorado is the one landlocked state I could live in. Absolutely love Summitt county and Denver is great as well. The Top Chef season out there has been one of my favorites.

But yeah, just spent 4 days in NYC back in January and the winter cold there really isn’t bad. I actually enjoy that. It’s just what you come to expect. But those Pittsburgh-and-West gray skies for 80% of the year are brutal.

Grew up in Ohio so didn't know any better. Shoveling unmerciful snow was no fun. NEITHER was trying to hammer in Christmas lights spiking the clips thru your gloves. Growing up there, you never thought there was as an alternative. To have a choice to go up there like PF makes no sense.

Been in & have seen some slow-motion ice sliding auto accidents. Iced roads can make one feel helpless. Salty ice clumps re-frozen onto the car-frame, with embedded filth locked in.

Colorado doesn't get as cold as us in the Midwest...it would be an awesome place to live. You get a ton of sun and good weather in the colder months.

I live in the city and I can tell you that the women in the city are not fat...at all! That 25lbs is true for women in the burbs though!!! Go to Lincoln Park and you will see very fit people :)
I was in Chicago for the first time a couple weeks ago—the yoga pants and boots uniform was a nice surprise.

Oh does that bring back unpleasant memories of my 11 winters in that city. Thank goodness I was young and could tough it out at that time. I finally had to throw in towel. I played Waveland numerous times. Not bad for a city run 9 hole course. Too bad they could not maintain it that well b/c it got too much play and not enough maintenance, but it was a decent layout. But since that city is so corrupt and run by a bunch of numbnuts, there is never any money for things like golf course maintenance. Enjoy and just call the Chicken Hut on Broadway and Belmont for delivery!

Great spot! Not far from where I live. I live on LSD and Irving Park. I am partial to Windy City Gyro at Broadway and Irving Park Rd.....complete DIVE. The old Greek men in there are so salty it is like a SNL skit!!! LOL Besides Mr. Beef on Orleans, best Italian beef, IMO.

No argument here on Mr. Beef. Or Al's. My first Italian Beef though I must admit was at Clark Dog, where Clark and Halsted intersect as I lived right near there. Enjoy. Only about 4 more months of winter for you.
