This team is hopefully learning to play without Big John. And perhaps psychologically, we were waiting on him to come back. Now, we can just move on with the guys we have. We are what we are. We'll be lucky to be a Sweet 16 team. I'd take that and be happy.

I know it sucks when we lose, but I love Mike White's style of play. I enjoy the run and gun offense. It attracts guys who are athletic and like to shoot threes. Mix in some tough D and some serviceable Bigs, we got a contender.

I wonder if the team felt that John was having trouble and it was a factor in our last slump?

Law's right. This is our boy Nav under an assumed alias.

I'd tell you we missed you, Nav, but it's not like you ever really left.

I like it when the 3s are falling and there’s lots of ball movement. It drives me insane when one guy stands still and dribbles for 25 seconds before throwing up a desperate heave that has no chance, giving the other team a chance to catch their breath...

See, that's caused by a lack of post presence. You run your stuff, nothing busts open, you dump it inside to Egbunu or anyone who can make a post move. We're just short handed inside right now. I like the way Basset is coming along. And Ballard. Man, the future looks bright, I'm telling you. Trust in this new age style of play. It attracts young ballers.

I guess Nav feels like you guys don't need him anymore. Personally, I like the guy. Solid dude. Good Gator.

Would he be able to get a medical redshirt or something like that to play next season if he wanted to?
If he doesnt play at all....yes he could. He is gone though. I really doubt he comes back. Probably 3% chance

He could. But the guy is from Africa. He needs to move on and get paid to play. Those big guys only get so many years to play before the body deteriorates. Look at Noah. Heck, most big men start to show wear and tear less than five years after leaving school. Big John needs to go play professionally somewhere I would guess.

My only qualm is how he lets women walk all over him. You'd think he'd have more backbone. Oh well, someone has to play the weaker sex role.

Why do you care if Nav is a cuck doormat?

You're getting close. Please don't mention anything. I wouldn't want him to know. He's a proud Navy guy on the surface.

Dudes not playing. He's getting prepped for the combine.

Edit: didn't see he had to get another procedure.

What gives me pause, is with the knee problems and a other surgery ahead to fix cartilage, he won't be drafted, probably can't go through the combine, won't get signed. Have to go oversees. If he doesn't need the money or loves college enough, or wants 1 freaking shot at playing a full seasons.....he may come back....lol gest of long shots though

He already sat out a transfer year so he's probably 23 already. I imagine he'll want to go ahead and get started making a living playing ball while he can.

Over Confidence has been one of our issues. We beat a good team or have a decent effort game and then think we've got it all figured out.
This team has little margin for error.

Gak really played great defense yesterday. He helped us tremendously. Probably for the first time all year. Yeah I know he didn't fill up the stat sheet. But his big body really helped us keep Silva and Co. from finishing at the rim or getting offensive rebounds. In Gainesville, we played small ball and got creamed. Yesterday, we put our crippled bigs in there (Gak and Basset=frosh) and it really made a difference. Is this yet another example of good coaching?

Yesterday was a great job coaching by White. However, many of us have wanted us to go big for a while.

It's ironic that Gak also played his best game of the year by far. His defense and interior presence helped us tremendously. They missed so many bunnies and other guys gobbled up the rebounds while Gak manned up against their Star Big, Silva. Silva's got NBA written all over him.

Not even close IMO. He’ll be playing overseas.
