yeah but you EXPECT those top programs with 5 stars out the ying yang to be in the Elite 8 and Final 4 EVERY year AND YET...they are not. That is just the parity of college basketball...

Seriously, Hudson has been surprisingly good in my mind, but you had him scoring how many points per game this year? It is ok to be optimistic about recruits/transfers, but one should also be reasonable.

Getting to 20 wins and making the tournament is not that great of a deal. when over a 3rd of your schedule Is against average or worse teams 20 wins isn't a sign of success. Making the elite 8,final 4, or winning the NC should be the standard anything else is a moral victory. I'm not the least bit surprised jboss is ok with moral victories.
We’re tied for the most victories over ranked teams in the country and half our wins were Q1.

Just wondering if we are on the lookout/radar for a big man transfer this upcoming season...

Still bothers me that Gilgeous-Alexander flipped from us to UK. No doubt in my mind there was some seriously shady stuff going on.

If UF isn't the correct fit for Egor, did White mislead him in his recruiting offering ?
I agree that Egor's game gets off-balanced in banging with bigger guys ... so could he be a 20-point/game scorer if White played him at shooting guard, placing Stone and Gak in Egor's forward position. Egor was not banged around in our first game and his shooting form was ideal = 34 points. I sure miss that "can't-miss" 3gor.
Gak has been a mystery all year, if by injury or what I don't know. I think Egor is more dependable than Stone at PF. Whatever, I miss 3-Gor too!

Why would it bother you? Chiozza was better than him this year. He is likely gone after this year. Okuaru next year is better than having had Alexander one year and nobody next year.

I would think so. Hudson has nothing to gain by staying so he's probably gone. The other board was talking about a kid transferring from samford who is originally from jacksonville. But it's just message board talk.

Not sure Gak will be back healthy either if he has micro fracture surgery on his knees. Big men usually don't come back very good after those types of surgery so that will hurt his development. I have never seen a team have so many injuries to 4 big men in one year...

I’m not so sure he’s a one and done, and even if he is, he’s make us much better and would be able to give Cheese breaks

3 of the 4 shouldn’t have even been counted on. Stokes and Chase are freshmen and I still believe would be redshirting regardless. Eggy was coming off an ACL tear and if we got anything out of him it would have been a bonus.

Well Stone shot the best from 3 on the team this year. But each of Hudson, Koulechov, Okauru and Stone were right about 40% from the arc. The surprising thing to me is all of them or 3 of the four could have a bad night together. It is the rare player who consistently shoots much better than 40% from the arc. BTW, even Allen was just a bit under what he did last year in terms of 3 point shooting percentage.

To me the thing about Koulechov was his consistent rebounding. He averaged 6.5 rebound a game, but never got more than 11 and he did that once and never got less than 2 and he did that once. Game in and game out he pulled down rebounds and that is what kept him getting so many minutes.

So you’re saying this rumor has serious legs to it?

Chase was very good in limited minutes before he got injured. Stokes and Eggy were PROJECTED and EXPECTED to be back in January and it just never happened. Bassett came on late and then he got injured. So bad luck alllll the way around.

Hudson could come back and work on his defensive skills, but kids don’t think like that, especially going into a defenseless league like the NBA.
