I don't mind the draw. UCLA or St. Bonnie are tough teams but we can beat them. Overall the bracket is pretty good imo for us. Funny that we could meet BFR in R2
Agree. I like our chances for the sweet 16, which would be a good season.

USC and St. Mary's got screwed imo. Cuse and Oklahoma shouldn't have got in and Bama a 9 lol
Bama the first 15 loss at large bid team. Cuse continues to be lucky and if Young wasn't on the team Okie wouldn't be in. St Mary's got royally hosed.

They lost to frickin' Wisconsin while scoring 53 points a few weeks ago. So we'd only score what, 30? Grow a pair for crying out loud. You sound like we are already owned and destroyed.
Do I really need to list the teams we lost to? I’m one of the biggest pumpers there is, and Purdue would murder us. The games we’ve lost have been mostly because of poor perimeter defense and getting pushed around inside. Purdue does both of those better than just about anyone else in the country. They’re a matchup nightmare for us.

Not only did Okie get in, they were not even the last 4 in. St. bonnies, UCLA, Cuse,ASU last 4 in. And the committee made it clear that your conference strength does NOT matter. OK ST. beat KU twice, beat OU twice, beat WVU on the road, etc. It is clear that these morons did not watch any basketball the last 2 months of the season and the last 10 or so games is NOT taken into account. Look the teams that got left out are no better than the ones that got in, but it would at least look legit if it appears the committee actually watches basketball games

Did that Tier 1 win stuff seem to be the main determining factor with the teams on the bubble? I haven't looked at too many of the teams with that.

Bama got in with an 8 and 10 record in conference ....why not Okie State? The committee seems to go in reputation, past history, etc to reward teams.

I thought Oklahoma St. was a tournament team, but clearly the committee wasn’t crazy about their non-conference SOS.

Texas tech ain't bad. I don't what to expect with us. I could see st Bonaventure or ucla taking us out. I could see us winning those games.

I see their RPI was really bad also due to that. If that is used at all anymore it probably doomed them even though they will leave non-major conference teams out that have pretty good RPIs. Kenpom didn't like OK St much either.

I’m not terribly fond of playing the winner of a play in game, one of those teams always makes a run.

Best chance to beat Purdue and Hass with a small team is to run, run, run. He wouldn't be able to keep up. Last year I was at the Purdue vs Iowa State tournament game. Purdue was killing Iowa State with a slow pace. In the 2nd half State sped up the game and Hass was on the bench because he was gassed. Iowa State took the lead but Purdue pulled off the win.

Problem with that is we never run consistently. Arkansas may do it if they beat Butler first. Purdue just isn’t a good matchup for us. Regardless, we have a long way to go before even worrying about who we’d play in the Sweet 16.

I'd love to see UCLA in the first round. We own them in the Dance and the big name might actually get our guys to show up. If we're able to win game one, I'd much rather see TT than meatchicken or meatchicken state in the 3/6 game. I'd also rather see Purdue than Dook or UNCheat if we make the Sweet 16. Overall we couldn't have asked for a better bracket.

Yep I think we may have the best Region to make the Sweet 16 as a # 6 seed.

I don't feel as good about ucla as everybody else here. We've owned Arkansas until the other day. We've proven we can lose to anybody.

It is really weird to be in the tourney but no know who UF is playing. Maybe that was also the case when UF was the overall number 1 seed, but that was the case of which 16 you are playing.

BTW, the line opened UCLA -3 and has moved to -3.5 some places.

I don't know if it makes any difference knowing who our opponent is. The question that flummoxes the hell out of me is which Florida team we're going to get - the one that can beat almost anyone, or the one that can lose to almost anyone? Frankly, after the Arky debacle I expect an early out.
