Good grief, another late start? I may not even stay up for this one. Every time I stay up late we lose.

How weird is it to be in the tourney but no know who you played. I guess maybe this happened in the past when UF was the overall number 1 seed, but that was which 16 you play and there is never that much information around about 16s.

The line on UCLA v. St. Bonnies opened up UCLA -3 and has moved to -3.5 some places.

Here is what the a poster posted about St. Bonnies on a UCLA board:

St Bonaventure is not a big team by any measure ....

.... and a complete contrast to the Arizona team we just played. Here is a little info on them.

They only have two players on their roster over 6'6 and they aren't major scorers or rebounders. One is a 6'10, 245 lb soph who averages under 5 points and only 3 boards a game and the other is a 6'8, 205 lb soph who averages 5 points and 2.8 boards a game.

But they do have some very good and experienced guards who can put the ball in the hoop--- 2 are seniors (Adams and Mobley) and 1 is a junior (Stockard). As an example of their scoring ability, the three of them combined for 96 points in their 117 to 113 OT win over Davidson on Feb 27th.

Adams and Mobley are both around 6'3 and average 19.8 and 18.5 points respectively and Stockard is a 6'6 wing/guard who averages almost 13 a game. The three of them are good three-point and free throw shooters averaging 46%, 38% and 37% from t[he beyond the arc and 86%, 85% and 75% from the ft line.

They finished second in their conference at 14-4 and 25-7 overall. It took a hot shooting Davidson team (made 16 threes)in the Atlantic 10 tournament semi-finals to end their 13 game winning streak defeating them 82 to 70.

UCLA will certainly have the height advantage but will still have to do a good job guarding these three perimeter players. They may be somewhat similar in style of play to ASU in the PAC 12 conference.

I rather deal with an overhyped UCLA. St Bonnie is good. Whipping UCLA's ass again would be fun and besides, their dance team is mighty good to look at.....:naughty:

I feel like the committee did a terrible job this year. March madness is all about the cinderella's. The small schools going up against the big schools. I don't want 15 loss P5 schools and on that note...let's get HYPED UP!

NV - Nevada has a favorable 1st round match up vs Texas. They could also get past Cincy on their way to the Sweet 16. Good Luck!

ANd because that wasn't enough...

Great posts, and they remind me how lucky we UF fans have been.

I never thought I would see a team to even approach the back to back winners and then we had a group go out and win 30 games in a row. To have been a UF fan before 1994 and to have seen the next 24 years of the program is more than anyone would have dared wish for in 1993.

9:57 Eastern STANDARD? We're on daylight savings time now.

BTW, who comes up with these random times? Why not an even 10 p.m.?
